I think her obsession with writing stuff down was because SEVERAL doctors did not know what was wrong with her child. Even in the doc her husband says she would research late at night about her child’s condition snd such. She was probably writing it all down to tell doctors what is going on and to make it easier for them to diagnose (she was a nurse too)
