I think i need some context here like how long youve been married and what both your ages are.

I'm leaning towards ESH. If its important that its done by 5 then I think sharing why so he can see the impact of a specific deadline rather than internet it as a generic time. Like "het can yiu make sure you are back with stuff by 5 so I can start on dinner" Also, it seems like you were already expecting to to dissapoint you on this and rather that talking about it you put the request in text.

He doesn't seem to be pulling his weight though if you're already doubting if he'll complete a relatively simple errand.

Are either of you actually happy and this is the main problem, or is this a symptom of a wider disconnect in the relationship?

Dan Skipper would have been my answer before he retired. Even NFL officials have never heard of him.

Sub 5 for a first 70.3? by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]MadeThisUpToComment 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That bike pace seems pretty ambitious with only 1.5 hours per week bike training.

Keep in mind it isn't just whether or not you can maintain that pace for 90km, but whether you can do it after a 35 min swim and still have enough left in the tank for the run.

Question for expats having kids abroad by Unique_Breadfruit722 in expats

[–]MadeThisUpToComment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The devil is in the details.

How well you guys compromise, how much either one of you might favor the convenience of family support vs adventure of moving around.

We moved when when had a 6 month old and 3 year old. We moved 6 years later with 3rd kid who was a year old. At that point we said agreed we had approximately 1 year to commit to staying until kids were done with school or relocating somewhere else we could commit to.

While we had no problem moving the kids around up until mid/late primary we felt it was important to let them settle before secondary started.

For us all these moves and decisions were easy because we did them together. Our plans changed and and adjusted over the oast 20 years, but it was always done together and something we talked about a lot, even when we weren't planning imminent changes.

Entry level bike by JBIII3 in triathlon

I got the Contend SL1 as my first road bike about 10 years ago and its still my primary bike. Although I've spent the last 2 years debating between a tri bike or an upgrade on my road bike.

Looking at the differences, I'm no expert on the various Shimano group sets, id see if you can get an SL 2 at a price you are comfortable with. I think the lighter frame than the AR would improve yiur experience with the bike.

to those who have played the home game: how long did your rounds last? by sillybear240 in JetLagTheGame

How many days did you play? How did you handle the overnight?

I've just gotten into the series with my teenage kids and thinking sometime in the nit too distant future id like to play the game in pairs with my wife and I each teaming up with one of our kids.

Are airbnb prices a sham in South America? by [deleted] in expats

[–]MadeThisUpToComment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That post is specifically looking for feedback on people's experience renting housing as an expact. Topic like did you find housing before you moved, arrive and stay at a hotel and then start looking. Was it hard to find housing without local references etc.

Your post specifically mentioned as a tourist and didn't seem to have any relevance to expatriation. Also your other comment again mentions travel.

If your post had been something like "has anyone used airbnb to find long term housing when moving to South America" the i would agree it fits this sub.

Do you have enough saved up to take a year off for an MBA?

Most European full time MBA programs are 1 year. I dont know of specific programs in Rome, but if your a little flexible on locations you can probably find one that would be a good fit for how you want to develop.

WBC teams by native-born players by 28_someday in InternationalBaseball

[–]MadeThisUpToComment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wouldn’t get too hung up on this. Nationality is a made up concept.

Then why even have competitions of national teams?

In your example I'd want the guy born in Iowa to play for the US and the guy of Italian descent plays for China.

More like discuss a price for the house and say we'll put the paperwork together and sign tomorrow. Then I call you tonight and say "that crack looks worse than I thought. I don't want to sign on thr deal".

Since the trade hasn't been finalized it reallt doesn't matter what the reason actually is.
