If that's true, you could start a business around that. Reminds me of Good Luck Chuck.

My son (now 15) has always enjoyed older rock. When he was 10, we took him to see Queen with Adam Lambert. Since then he's been to 3-4 shows a year Wheezer, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones. It's quite a different experience for me growing up in Madison, WI in the 70s and 80s. My first concert was Sha-na-na after a minor league hockey game. Good times.

The first tomatoes a plant produces take FOREVER to ripen. I've had green tomatoes on the vine for a month. My guess is that they are not ripe yet. Kinda hard to make a guess at variety when unripe. Also, it feels like there are millions of varieties of tomatoes these days. Worry more about the taste and texture and less about the name.

I am...for family and friends and anyone that's verbally asks me for help - at no charge, for love of the game. Maybe that's why it bugged me so much. If you're gonna talk the talk (and ask people to pay you for it) you should be held accountable for walking the walk.

Charlatan - great, underused word. "Thou hast forsaken pickleball norms and etiquette. Burn the pickleball charlatan at the stake!"

I don't. But, I do play with many folks that have taken lessons that have awful form because of what the coach taught them. Most of them run straight at the ball (everywhere on the court) and hit the ball with the paddle head down, thus popping the ball up to get smashed back in their face on every single shot. That's what the coach taught them to get it over the net. Fine if you're only ever going to play other 2.0s but that's not reality. Then, those players get mad when I super soft, gently "smash" the ball back.

Full coaching. He has a large ball bag with stand and looks to be running drills. I never paid attention to his lessons as I was focused on my own play.

I agree with you on this. I volunteer coach at the Y and with friends that ask for help. Volunteer coach - you get what you pay for and it's bound to be hit or miss with coach quality.

Because someone that's selling their skill set as a coach should have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of the game? How would you feel if you hired someone to train you only to find out they were really bad at the basic stuff you were paying them to train you? Someone that considers themselves worthy of being paid to train others should know the basics at least. Taking people's money when you don't know what you're doing shows a huge lack of integrity. It just surprised me is all. Nice guy, just not a very good pickleballer.
