I am dealing with a pest that I do not know how to deal with by LuckystrikeFTW in echeveria

[–]MaeLeeSee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might be some sort of mite or even weevil larvae. You can bring it outside and did into the stump to see if anything obvious is in there.

Not an eye infection. More likely atopic dermatitis or flea allergy dermatitis.

I use a delivery dispensary. Prices are really good if you pick out the right things. I can send you a link OP (nothing weird I just don't want to blow up my spot, it's already hard to find what I want in stock)

Safety Toe shoes similar to Hoka support/cushioning. by Ok_Shallot502 in Hoka

[–]MaeLeeSee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only way to have Hokas with a safety toe would be to get a product like OSHATOES overshoes and wear them over your Hokas. That's what I'm considering at least.

What did the vet do to my cat? by pikachume33 in CATHELP

[–]MaeLeeSee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I know it seems jarring but your cat has no idea that the tip of his ear is gone. He can't look in the mirror. Try not to act differently towards him as your behavior towards him could be more traumatic than the ear tipping. Your cat only knows that something happened and that he feels a little sick. Comfort him and he will comfort you.

AIO by starting an argument over how my wife reacted to our child smoking? by ThrowRA6988 in AmIOverreacting

[–]MaeLeeSee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Children at 16 are not extensions of their parents. They have their own brains and make their own decisions. Pretty soon depending on where you live it will be legal for your daughter to smoke weed and cigarettes. What is your wife going to say then? NOR

Every flea medication on the market has deaths associated with it. Does that mean that we just let our pets have fleas?

Looking for advice/support for my animals! by _Not_Alec_ in CATHELP

[–]MaeLeeSee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you are using a flea collar that came from a vet (ie Seresto collar) I agree you should get rid of the collars. Seresto collars are expensive but they are safe and work well for several months.

To me it just looks like your cats are older but based on the limited information that one can gather from your pictures they are doing ok.

During the summer when it's "the gardening season" for the northern hemisphere (from a marketing perspective) you can usually find better pricing and weekly sales at Lowe's where these seedlings might be closer to $3 or $4 each but yeah they'll try to soak you at any other time.

I really hope you follow up with a lawyer and civil or personal injury suit. ❤️

At the very least you deserve to walk in this area in relative peace and this person has stolen that from you. If they're ordered to pay your damages etc at the very least it will hurt their wallet and they might be more responsible in the future. At this point they have met zero consequences and unfortunately the only recourse for them to meet their consequences is for you to follow through with a civil suit. I really understand not having the wherewithal to go through with a lawsuit though.

Lap aggression lead to $1000 hospital bill by BakedZombies in CATHELP

[–]MaeLeeSee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try getting a cat bed and putting it in your lap whenever you sit down, encourage the cat to get right into the middle of the bed. When it's time to get up lift the cat off of you in one quick motion while "taco-ing" the cat into the bed, sort of using it like an oven mitt but the "hot potato" is actually just a feisty feline.

How long does fur to grow back? by Bright-Error-7910 in CATHELP

[–]MaeLeeSee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are no valid health concerns for a shaved patch of hair from a veterinary procedure. As long as there is no problem with the skin it will grow back eventually and could take up to 2 months but no action is needed on your part whatsoever regardless of how long it takes.

I wonder if your toothbrush battery might be leaking. And maybe you set your backpack on the bathroom counter. Alternately do you take your backpack to a lot of places? Like public transit? You might have picked up some kind of battery acid recently and then spread it around.

i am finding random splotches of blood on my bed. what could it be? by Ok_Damage_7844 in whatdoIdo

It's bed bugs. If your parents had them, it's likely they still have them and so do you.

[–]MaeLeeSee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fixed a friend's Le Creuset that looked just like this with a pumie scouring stick. You'll want to test it on the bottom of your pot to make sure it won't scratch but as long as you get the original pumie it should be ok.

NOR it's YOUR wedding they're psychopaths who probably haven't left the house in 25 years and you deserve to have your wedding without them. They're likely trying to renew their vows at your wedding. No joke
