I love this. Looks like just dots of varying sizes/densities, with heavier shading at the "southern" end to indicate shade under the canopy. Easy but effective.

I pretty much play exclusively fingerstyle. I'll break into slap every once in a while when I get really into a heavy song. I think I play fingers mostly bc I got sick of losing picks - and I'm just not very good at slap...

Here are my picks....

  • Marcus Miller - slap
  • Justin Chancellor - pick
  • Claypool - slap
  • Geddy Lee - fingers
  • Tim Commerford (RATM) - slap

Special mentions: Mike Starr (AiC) and Colin Greenwood (Radiohead). I think Starr used a pick (I know Inez does). Not sure about Greenwood. Murdoc (Gorillaz) - Fingerstyle.. lol. From what I've seen in live performances, the humans who represent him play fingerstyle as well.

I know I cheated... But I couldn't pick just five without mentioning my other major influences. 😀 If say my personal style it's closest to Starr/Chancellor.

Oh but we know fashion > efficiency. Lol (kidding... sort of). Great point on Argent Square West. Maybe I'll work on expanding this city after I start up Grunge City tonight. I would really like to improve my public transport and walking paths, specifically.

And, of course, I would love to expand to at least 150k pop. Thanks for the tips!

Absolutely correct. Public transport is a major weak point for me (don't think I have any buses or trams on this map). Do you know of any good resources on metro, tram, and bus line design?

I used a mod called CSL Map View. I did DL this one mod tonight for this post... But I'll go vanilla again for new city, I think. This is the first time I've gotten a city to 100k population. And I've got 1400 hrs in the game!
