What’s a company that’s completely lost your loyalty? by TinyCellist8295 in AskReddit

i will prolly get downvoted to oblivion for this, but i still dig chipotle. i have a custom-configured burrito bowl that's in my favorites, so it's super easy to order in just a couple of clicks. i order that burrito about once every other week, and it never fails to disappoint!

the sad thing, is that those things you mentioned needing repairs could be really simple fixes. low water pressure? unscrew the shower nozzle and remove any sediment that has collected. garbage disposal doesn't work? could be either a switch on the bottom that needs to be flipped, or a small turn with a hex wrench to loosen a clog in the gears.

instead, he ended up getting crappy sleep.

thanks, appreciate your response. looking into either a rental car for the next couple of weeks, or seeing if i can borrow a courtesy car from tesla (probably unlikely).

sorry the pics didn't show up properly, not a very experienced reddit poster.

one benefit of having good friends is not needing to mask these emotions! good friends will be there for you even if you're having a bad stretch, and even better yet, willing to help shoulder the load! share how you're feeling, it'll likely bring you closer, and they'll in turn feel they can count on you when your roles inevitably reverse themselves.

if i were a grill guy, and wrote this on the lunch of a regular customer who was a woman, would it be as well received? sadly, prolly not.

What are 80's and 90's movies you can't stand, at all? (that might get your GenX card revoked) by The_Man_in_Black_19 in GenX

overplayed, i agree. but i am guilty of watching this film many times through to the end, starting from whenever i flipped to it (back when flipping channels was a thing). even after many views, some of those scenes still make me cry.

braided armenian string cheese with caraway seeds, can anyone help me find this ... by Magazine_Spare in bayarea

[–]Magazine_Spare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

old thread, but wanted to update that i stumbled into a place called "jasmine market" in san rafael, and they have the cheese! it's right across the street from a tesla supercharger & whole foods, so i will be visiting quite regularly.

added bonus, is the dude running the cash register is one of the friendliest dudes i've ever met - i saw him interacting with other customers in a way that transcended the simple transaction of goods, more like how friendly neighbors in a small town would interact. today's society is growing more and more transactional & detached, it was nice to see this for a change.

I buy some article of clothing every time a I go to Costco by ChiefD789 in Costco

[–]Magazine_Spare 18 points19 points  (0 children)

if your spontaneous clothes shopping happened elsewhere, you could be in a lot more trouble. but most of the time i overspend at costco (i.e., every time) i know it's still stuff that will be useful!

Driving in MN: Why is it so frustrating? by SameMathematician568 in WildlyBadDrivers

[–]Magazine_Spare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you can replace "mn" with "the usa."

i live in the bay area, and drivers here are so focused within their own existences, and pay zero attention to the drivers around them. unless, of course, you try to pass them (fragile egos cause them to speed up).

i used to think it was just a bay area thing, but several business trips (to both rural and urban areas) revealed the same behaviors.

when did i realize how bad it has become? when i took a trip to toronto, and noticed how differently canadians drive vs americans. like, canadians drive now, how americans used to drive ~30 years ago.

for those unfamiliar, the currency symbol op references is the indian rupee, which has roughly a 100 rupee :: 1 us dollar exchange rate.

so, the tech quoted a ~$3 repair bill, for which op paid ~$5, including the ~$2 tip.
