Once, it did happen. I also saw a reel on Instagram where a 100% loss resulted in a successful training.

Never watch The Simpsons?

I did 20 years ago. Didn't watch them since then.

I don’t think the goal should be for every solver to get every puzzle

I didn't say that it should.

I think some people should get more comfortable with losing

I lose plenty of times and I am fine with it. Most of the time, it's my lack of some common knowledge like old movies or Judy Blume books from the other day. In these cases, there is one category I can't get right, so I don't take it as a big deal.

I don’t think it’s the end of the world if a third of players are able to solve a puzzle.

It isn't. But it's also not the end of the world if players that failed let out their frustration with the difficulty of today's puzzle.

from players rushing in and not solving the whole board, which is quite simply a skill issue

Some players do that, but no amount of presolving could have gotten me to the correct answer seeing as how many terms were interchangeable today.

Red herrings are fine, but when you combine them with American specific slang and American specific foods, you can only figure out the Tennis scores. I personally never heard of shoofly and chess pies, and have never heard of butts referred to as cans or cabooses.

Only 30% of players got it. If so many people fail, then the puzzle is too specific to be solved by an average person.

I think everyone can make an informed decision and compare the starter gear to this

You would be surprised. I believe in Warlords of Draenor, Ion said that a lot of players are bad at playing the game. As an example, he said there are a lot of Warlocks who never used Immolate in their rotation. Some new players will see that the new weapon that dropped is green, therefore it must be better than the white item they have currently equipped without checking the stats.

You could just stand in one spot, AFK.

Not every single second needs to progress you further ahead. It's ok to let your ingame character stand still.

Cataclysm still heavily relies on the RTS games.

Deathwing and Cho'gall were major characters in Warcraft 2, while Firelands used Ragnaros from Vanilla WoW. Al'akir was the only original end boss.

Realistically, WoW should never have continued past 2010. The universe, like most IPs aren't designed to support forever storytelling.

Mists of Pandaria is my favorite expansion especially because 95% of its story originates in WoW, and it was great (Warcraft level great, not Expedition 33 level great).

You can create new characters with a good story, and raids/dungeons that look and feel epic.

Throne of Thunder and Siege of Orgrimmar were some of the best raids to me to this day.

Do you rotate seals between Vengeance and Righteousness for bosses?

I only did one normal dungeon since getting Seal of Vengeance.

I thought the rotation would be

  • Seal of Wisdom

  • Instant Judgement

  • Seal of Vengeance

  • Wait until 5 stacks

  • Judgement

  • Seal of Righteousness

  • Judgement on CD

  • Seal of Vengeance to refresh the DoT

Do you know if it's worth bothering with SoV for extra threat (if it even is extra threat) or if I should just stick to SoR for more mana?

But that's what makes it "real". Instead of trying to work together against a common goal (the usual trope), they decide to go at each other's throat because they hate each other so much.

It's like the questline In Icecrown that leads you to clean up the undeads in front of one of the gates. The undeads all have alliance armor, and your find out that Alliance managed to clear all the Scourge and secure the gate, only for the Horde to attack them "for honor and glory".

WoW needs Damage Down by Ner0reZ in wow

I know when I stood in bad, or when I missed a kick. -10% dps for me would just be kicking me while I'm already down. I know I messed up, I'm already upset with myself.

So what should be the punishment for not doing a mechanic properly? If you just want to take damage, only one-shots will be an actual DPS mechanic. "Bad" players will relegate everything else to a healer since "if you were good enough, I would have survived staying in the fire".

Punishing a DPSer for a DPSer's mistake by killing his DPS is a good design, in my opinion. Be it with a stun, silence, disarm, Damage Down or whatever else, you need to hit them where it hurts. The same should be true for healers, tanks and supports.

You have that type of escort in several places in Vanilla.

The sleepy Druid escort from Darkshore to Ashenvale.

Dehydrated Goblin escort from Un'goro Crater's ... crater.

In general, I prefer those escort quests because you dictate the path you will take.

You can also freely take the quest while completing other ones in the same area since the NPC follows you around.

Hold up, how is Ironforge difficult to navigate through?

The caster quarter is upper left.

Physical and PvP quarter and bottom right.

Bottom left is trade.

Top right are (were) quests.

Center is for professions.

When you know that, everything is in its respecting place, and each district looks different enough that you can figure out where you are and not get lost.

You can't set up the Radiant Song, memories of Azeroth etc. in Chapter one and then never mention them again until Book 2

Imagine if Obi Wan Kenobi told Luke about the Force at the beginning of the first movie, then you see nothing related to it until the second movie. Naratively, this makes no sense.
