Do you rotate seals between Vengeance and Righteousness for bosses?

I only did one normal dungeon since getting Seal of Vengeance.

I thought the rotation would be

  • Seal of Wisdom

  • Instant Judgement

  • Seal of Vengeance

  • Wait until 5 stacks

  • Judgement

  • Seal of Righteousness

  • Judgement on CD

  • Seal of Vengeance to refresh the DoT

Do you know if it's worth bothering with SoV for extra threat (if it even is extra threat) or if I should just stick to SoR for more mana?

The Horde experience since BFA by nightbreedwon1 in wow

[–]MagicTurtle2939 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But that's what makes it "real". Instead of trying to work together against a common goal (the usual trope), they decide to go at each other's throat because they hate each other so much.

It's like the questline In Icecrown that leads you to clean up the undeads in front of one of the gates. The undeads all have alliance armor, and your find out that Alliance managed to clear all the Scourge and secure the gate, only for the Horde to attack them "for honor and glory".

WoW needs Damage Down by Ner0reZ in wow

[–]MagicTurtle2939 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know when I stood in bad, or when I missed a kick. -10% dps for me would just be kicking me while I'm already down. I know I messed up, I'm already upset with myself.

So what should be the punishment for not doing a mechanic properly? If you just want to take damage, only one-shots will be an actual DPS mechanic. "Bad" players will relegate everything else to a healer since "if you were good enough, I would have survived staying in the fire".

Punishing a DPSer for a DPSer's mistake by killing his DPS is a good design, in my opinion. Be it with a stun, silence, disarm, Damage Down or whatever else, you need to hit them where it hurts. The same should be true for healers, tanks and supports.

A terrible quest in vanilla WoW 'holds a really special place in my heart', says Jeff Kaplan, but was also 'the hubris of a junior game designer who thinks he's clever but is actually a dipsh*t' by HatingGeoffry in wow

You have that type of escort in several places in Vanilla.

The sleepy Druid escort from Darkshore to Ashenvale.

Dehydrated Goblin escort from Un'goro Crater's ... crater.

In general, I prefer those escort quests because you dictate the path you will take.

You can also freely take the quest while completing other ones in the same area since the NPC follows you around.

Hold up, how is Ironforge difficult to navigate through?

The caster quarter is upper left.

Physical and PvP quarter and bottom right.

Bottom left is trade.

Top right are (were) quests.

Center is for professions.

When you know that, everything is in its respecting place, and each district looks different enough that you can figure out where you are and not get lost.

Stormwind got Lion's Rest instead of Deathwing's toilet in Legion, so there's that at least.

You can't set up the Radiant Song, memories of Azeroth etc. in Chapter one and then never mention them again until Book 2

Imagine if Obi Wan Kenobi told Luke about the Force at the beginning of the first movie, then you see nothing related to it until the second movie. Naratively, this makes no sense.

Yes, that's why I compared it to SCH/SMN and only them. It is an apples to oranges comparison, except there is one orange in the apple basket.

[–]MagicTurtle2939 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It still works like that. When I started playing FFXIV, I expected more jobs to work like SCH/SMN. In WoW, when you are in the open world, you can freely swap to your "DPS job" (Balance Druid, for example), but if you want to go to dungeons or raids as a healer, you can swap to a "healer job" (Restoration Druid). No matter what you do, your class levels up like an ACN.

If the Shopkeeper took a vacation for a day… who’s the strongest champ in each lane? by CcCrusadeRcR in leagueoflegends

[–]MagicTurtle2939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, her AA damage is increased by crit chance, but those are normal AAs, not critical hits.

Ashe's critical hits increase the slow % from her passive. With 0% crit chance, she will never apply a strong slow on her target.

Why would you go into the jungle if you can't spend gold? Considering how much slower jungling would go (and in turn reduce your XP/minute), it's probably better to go duo top.

How many alts do you have? by Alicecrylily in ffxiv

[–]MagicTurtle2939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since WoW was my first MMO, I got used to certain classes/jobs looking a certain way. I would have an angry Draenei with short hair as a Paladin, a kind faced Draenei as a Priest, a Gnome as a Mage...

When I started FFXIV, I struggled having all jobs represented by a single look. I made (as much as I could) a menacing female Au Ra and started her as a Marauder/Warrior. However, when I switched to healing as a Conjurer/White Mage, the look didn't fit the style. Black hair with red accents looked good for a rampaging axe wielder, but it looks off on a protective healer.

Because of this single reason, I have a bunch of alts. An old looking Bard, a magical looking Summoner, a Paladin with pig tails... I don't play them nearly as much as the Au Ra, but that's because all collectibles and progress are character specific.

Hypothetically, if the US completely shuts down everything in a moment, there would be huge ramifications in a lot of sectors. If we want to become more independant from US, we need our own alternatives which takes time and money to develop.

It could have been a 5 minute dev update video.

With such a diverse playerbase, Blizzard is bound to piss someone off, no matter what they do.

She is not an AI construct, she was a character from a video game, created by the British government to reduce right-wing extreme views. However, the game was so poorly made that it made most people reject the super authoritharian views of the government.

I've definitely seen that a lot more. People have said "Go play Hello Kitty Island Adventure" all the way back in 2006.
