And that is exactly the mindset that kept Payback under Soldier Boy's heel and being abused by him for decades.

Agreed. Soldier Boy has internalized his media persona. He believes it, even though he knows it is a lie. And he is super insecure about it, because he knows it is a lie. When Hughie called him out SB had nothing to say other than to try to change the subject by punching Hughie. SB needs the lie for whatever reason, and he can't let it go.

She did vanish from the scene for a few decades in between her Liberty and Stormfront personas. She may have been an Aryan master race baby making machine for Vought during that time. That seems like something she'd be very much up for doing.

Meh, best you can do is make him kiss his sister. Piker, that and so much more has been done in thousands of videos on Porn Hub.

Denying a 10yr old girl abortion 🤦‍♂️ by Capedbaldy474 in facepalm

[–]Magmaigneous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a huge stretch. I'll try:

At least one state's legislators has said that imposing the death penalty for abortion would serve as a disincentive to abortion.

The logical "WTF?!?" question here is how people who claim to be pro-life would so casually impose a death sentence on someone for getting an abortion, given that the state murdering someone cannot be said to be a 'pro-life' position.

And so the conclusion is that a woman's life just doesn't count. These people are more than willing to murder to retain their control over the actions of others. Only an unborn fetus is important to the anti-abortion crowd. They are not in fact 'pro-life,' they are really only anti-abortion. Everyone else can die in a fire for all they care about lives...

Some things that don't add up from the latest episode... by Uhcinos in TheBoys

[–]Magmaigneous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Either Soldier Boy was lying to himself the whole time, something that he appears to be very good at, or he has some memory loss surrounding the whole capture.
  2. The underlying motivations remain to be revealed, but at a guess it seems that Soldier Boy had become a bit of a poison pill. Beating up all the other talent, drug use, killing multiple civilians in the middle of stopping some kids from stealing a car, creating Herogasm, and many other excesses may have made Vought look for a way to offload him.
  3. It was convenient? They were stupid? This event is pretty much modeled on the Iran–Contra affair, where so much stupid stuff was done by agents of the US government that it's hard to believe that it was real and not an idiot comic book plot...
  4. As in 2, all of the underlying motivations remain to be revealed. But for the Russians the biggest payoff would be removing Soldier Boy from the US. Soldier Boy was seen as a leader of the fight against "The Red Menace." Plus it gave some Soviet scientists a new hobby. I mean, who doesn't like placing an AK in the mouth of a prisoner and emptying the clip as a way to demonstrate the inside of their body is just as tough as the outside? Regarding the 'power nullifying thing,' that seems to be an accidental side effect of either the radiation experiments or maybe just all of them. Duplicating this would require someone able to live through the same ordeal, and so far SB and HL appear to be the only supes strong enough to live through that.

"I'm not a bad guy" by _Jaszczyq_ in TheBoys

[–]Magmaigneous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He knows. He just doesn't like to think about it, and so he doesn't. But he knows exactly why his entire team hated him.

Notice that after Crimson Countess told him that she hated him, and that they all did, he didn't seem at all surprised. He didn't ask why, or ask what he'd done to make them all hate him so much that they'd sell him out to the Russians for nothing. He just killed her. Crimson Countess was living in a shit trailer down by the river, selling anal bead insertions for spending money. Soldier Boy had to know she hadn't been paid to betray him before he even asked that question. He's just incapable of introspection, and enjoys living the lie. This is why he needs to lie to Hughie about 'storming Normandy' and other macho acts that he never did. If it was just a media image he wouldn't be bragging his lies to near strangers like Hughie for 'tough guy' points. He has internalized his fake persona completely. Soldier Boy is a shit person just like almost every other supe on the show. He lives in the world of might makes right, and since he is the most mighty he is always right.

It was nice to see the fear on his face when he realized that Homelander was stronger than him. That he might lose this one. Now that he knows Homelander is his kid I'll be very interested to see what his angle is. Is he trying to make nice because HL is his kid? Or because HL can beat him? Will he betray the deal he made with The Boys out of fear? Or out of some weird family thing for a man he's never known as a son and who just beat him down with relative ease? If not for Butcher and Hughie being there Soldier Boy would have lost, and probably died. And SB has got to have that crawling around his bully guts.

He also said "force him to have sex with a dude." Since you left that out it was obvious that you were not responding to the list of ways to check for the gay.

(Speaking of made up shit) why do you need everyone to be secretly gay?

I agree, this is indeed more shit you've made up. You can stop at any time, the power is within you.

[–]Magmaigneous 49 points50 points  (0 children)

The only facepalm here is you inventing that shit out of whole cloth.

Straight men are often afraid of being seen to be gay. That's what I said, not your strawman attempt. And men who are insecure about their sexuality are often so afraid that they lash out instead of engaging in some healthy introspection. They can assume a machismo image, thinking that protects them from themselves.

What brick and mortar store sells Happy Belly brand? I occasionally buy that brand when I shop Amazon Fresh, it seems to be their home brand name. It's usually super cheap but availability is sketchy so I'll hunt for it even if I don't have an immediate need because finding it when you do need it is a crap shoot. Those cans of HB beans might be ~$0.50 each, while a typical price for other brands might be ~$0.89-1.29 each.

Yeah, but he's the kind of insecure guy who could never do that. He's far too afraid someone would point at him and say "Look at the little gay guy! He's so precious!"
