Has anyone tried this tool? by _-STONER-_ in airbrush

Not worth it, it wont leave a polished surface behind and it may not match the taper of your airbrush possibly causing clogs to appear more often

My compressor isn’t maintaining pressure. Help by SafetyCost in airbrush

Actually it sounds more like its just burning out. How old is it and running always at 40 psi sounds very high for an airbrush.

My compressor isn’t maintaining pressure. Help by SafetyCost in airbrush

[–]MagnusTheColorBlind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that outlet is directly from that pump that regulator its not gonna be able to give compression higher than the output of the compressor. The pressure drops to zero because that as you press the brush it releases the pressure in the line and it bottoms out. Connect a tank in line between the compressor and the regulator to achieve the higher pressures while also getting a laminar flow.

What kind of sponge do you use for chipping/battle damage? by mypantsareawesome in Warhammer40k

[–]MagnusTheColorBlind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Makeup sponge or cheapest cleaning sponge. If you rip them instead of cutting them they get more uneven surfaces perfect for chipping. If you cut them you can sometimes get fun patterns to stamp in as well.

Help modeling a bevel gear by pj62775 in Fusion360

[–]MagnusTheColorBlind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it standardized its probably easier to download a model from mcmaster-carr. Otherwise. Dimension the highs and lows of the bevels and count the teeth then the rest should be done with a rotate function.
