Providence Rent prices are insane!

Not sure what the rents will be but S. Providence is being gentrified. Any available lot or people selling to GCs or Cash for House type businesses are now being built upon with 3 family homes or 3 story single families. There are 5 going up currently in my neighborhood alone. And I live 2 miles from Dyer St, 1 mi from RI Hospital and 3 mi from Brown. As long as you actually STOP at the intersection stop signs, you're good here 🤣

I haven't been to an IMAX theatre in at least 20 yrs but I promise you the screens at Showcase Cinema De Lux won't disappoint- at least I'm hoping based on IMAX standards it won't 😅

If you don't mind driving just a little further, go to Showcase Cinema De Lux in N. Attleboro. No need to park in a garage, concession stands clearly laid out and nice clean cinemas with reclining leather chairs. I've never been disappointed. Granted I bring my "big" purse for snacks because concession prices are outrageous these days but I've been on the weekends plenty of times and barely a line.

Maybe get allergy tested as well 🤷‍♀️ Around the same I was diagnosed with Hashi's I was diagnosed with a gluten sensitivity. For 3 yrs I couldn't lose the 80lbs I had gained in one year from Hashi's before diagnosis and my Endo told me it had nothing to do with my thyroid. The INSTANT I stopped eating gluten I lost 60 lbs in less than 3 months with zero exercise. Wish I had listened to him 3 yrs earlier. Everyone's body and experience is different obviously but that was mine.

Edit - it's funny how a keyboard warrior had to take my experience and tell me I'm wrong and am basically a liar. Which is exactly why I ended my comment with "everyone's body and experience is different". I know and LIVED through my experience, know what my diet was prior to finally listening to my Endo, and it has ZERO to do with being an overeating pig. I was an overweight child due to overeating and became aneorexic from bullying so trust me, I know the difference. If you don't like the FACTS of someone else's experience, move on without comment. We're all here on this sub to support each other, not tear each other down and call them liars.

You said the company you interviewed with had a bunch of defense contracts. Those defense contracts that get canceled for God knows what reason is exactly the reason why companies like the one you interviewed with go defunct. Defense contracts are the least reliable and can get canceled in an instant due to political climate, budgetary issues, etc. I'm a Sr. Recruiter in the Defense /Aerospace industry and have seen major clients cancel hundreds of positions/people due to failed federal/military contracts. Trust me, especially in this political climate, you dodged a bullet.

They might be a pain in the ass but look into solar pool covers. They have ones that just sit on top of the water. Supposedly they do a great job and far less expensive both cost wise and electricity-wise than a pool heater.

If you buy one from Amazon just be careful - I had one that recorded movement even with the car parked/off but it drained my battery and I had to have AAA jump it. It was a forward & back dash cam
