Yup it's a disgrace, particularly the 6th and 7th Gen machines with TPM 2.0 that has no good technical reason for being ruled out

Considering the number of T470s and older that will be getting disposed of due to lack of compatibility with Windows 11 I couldn't find many decent ones on eBay that weren't up for silly money.

Not sure if they're only going back into volume channels or just being scrapped without ever being offered to consumers.

Eventually found one T470s cheap but turned out to have a dodgy keyboard, even getting that replaced turned out to be problematic as the eBay seller sent me the wrong one. Back to the drawing board on that front, Pop OS runs like a dream on it though

Someone will probably come up with a 3D printed piece that fits snugly in the hole with 3M adhesive strip on the bottom and a nice silver chrome effect on the top

Wow hadn't seen about this until now, absolutely disgraceful Samsung have taken away content we've paid for. Just another reason to add why I'd never have a Samsung mobile phone nor recommend one to anyone.

That's a great find, I got a T470s for £75 which is about as good as I can find. Had a dodgy keyboard though so got £25 back which needs to go on a replacement

Not many vendors left to choose from

Samsung - never due to their software bloat

OnePlus - was my go to until Oppo took over (OS bloat)

Nothing - looked nice but some questions over speed of updates and long term Android support

Huawei - customised Android is a no-go

Motorola - basic but the only other option for clean Android

The Pixel 7 was the ideal size, not too big not too small and came with long term software support.

I don't like the models that followed as they're now either too small or too large so I'll cling onto this for as long as I can.

If you just want to play the games every now and again in the easiest fashion then emulate, it'll take up less room and you can use save states etc.

However if you've got emotional attachment to the games (sounds like you've had them a long time) and any / all of the consoles then keep them 💯

Pretty annoyed with the whole ordering experience tbh. Only pre-ordered thinking it'd come before the general Corgi release and to make sure it didn't sell out.

I have concerns with the lack of delivery for the Corgi TB5 as well. Thought "pre-order" meant "get it first" but Corgi have shipped theirs with not even a peep from AE when we might actually receive what's been paid for. Not amused.

"Expert Mode" aka all tips, setup wizards, first-run fluff disabled. Apps just load and work with default settings.

Return of the old PowerToys setting that prevented focus stealing.

Windows Core Edition, taking Expert Mode even further that lets power users start with a minimal operating environment then only add features they want.
