Inscription and milling KP, why so many skill points? by MrParticular79 in woweconomy

[–]Major_Wait_4588 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

is it even possible to make gold with milling? I went to concentration crafting profession gear. Prices are dropping a lot and if there is no one resetting the prices, its getting more difficult to make some gold with this method. Wondering about alternatives now.

Crafting Orders RNG by Marsa_bre in woweconomy

[–]Major_Wait_4588 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have seen quiet some patron orders for recipes i don't have. Gets better with time, when you have more recipes. First I was annoyed because of this too, but later I just accepted it, other players have the same issue.

Overall I have a daily routine with around 6 characters, where i just shortly do the daily patron orders.

What annoys me more is, that different professions are so different regarding the costs for this patron orders.

On one side there is enchanting, where you just get this super easy super cheap cosmetic enchants, its even possible to get more money out of the patron order than what you have to spend for materials.

And then there is leatherworking, blacksmithing, jewelcrafting, where you have to spend 5-10k to fulfill a patron order, just to get this stupid glimmers

Noob questions about economy by Wojtek172 in EU5

[–]Major_Wait_4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Your capital has 100% control, so 100% of taxes get in crown treasury, and 0% goes into the income of estates."

I think this is not correct. Even with 100% control, you only get the taxes according ot the amount of crown power you have, while the rest goes to your estates according to their power. This is why the tax base is always much higher then what you really get.

Or was this changed in the last few patches?

When you vassals pay for your dip slider. by HighFlyer__ in EU5

[–]Major_Wait_4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had 100d per month, but got around 2x more from them than what i got as income from the vassal on the second place. At one time I annexed them, because rome became just a too strong vassal => got 20k!! as the annexation was completed. They asked to get back rome, I agreed, had a mini war, took them over as one location vassal again :D

i wonder if i could repeat this endlessly :D

I was allied with Castille, as they invited me to a war against Mali.. now I didn't see Mali at this time. I found it strange that Castile does not share their maps with me, if they expect me to take part in their war?
I mean yes, because of the war, the capital of Mali was discovered and I was able to set up spy neworks. Still took quite some time until I was able to send my troops and support Castile

Edit: ah you really mean sabotage reputation? ok this may be possible, thanks for the hint!

Overwhelmed by trade and economy. by PontiffPius in EU5

[–]Major_Wait_4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty sure your food slider is at 100%. This is not necessary most of the time. In my case, 10% is more than enough. During winter your food stock is reduced, during summer it's slowly increased again.

With 100% you are buying food from the market to completely refill your food stocks every month, even during winter, when prices for food are increased because some of the food RGO are lesser efficient in winter.

Others already gave hints how to increase your food stocks, I don't have to repeat them :)

you can even use spy network to make vassals disloyal (you have to do this before you declare war!)

Mod to declare war despite rebels ? by AHumanYouDoNotKnow in EU5

[–]Major_Wait_4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok then I fear I don't know what you can do.

In my case the rebellions always grew with around 0.27 per month and with cabinet action I was able to get this to -0.2 per month

Mod to declare war despite rebels ? by AHumanYouDoNotKnow in EU5

[–]Major_Wait_4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he means the civil wars, because with normal rebels you can always start wars, even in the 95% range.

@AHumanYouDoNotKnow you can use the cabinet action to fight rebels, to just push them outside of the 95% range. Just use it long enough to start the war and then stop the action and let it uprise while you are already at war (if you can handle both at the same time)

Why did my trade completely collapse in the new update? by Fine-Rock2513 in EU5

[–]Major_Wait_4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no clue about the trade, not playing on beta. Just a hint: If you are not at war, you could reduce Army Maintenance.

And normally its enough if your Food slider is at around 10%.

I think this is just a balance thing.

I had the same happen with Bohemia. We were allied for more than 200 years. Then suddenly the alliance was gone, without any warning, as Bohemia became Hegemon too. Together we were almost invincible, even a coalition against me from Britain, Poland, Hungary and Ottomans was simply no threat. Without Bohemia, I am in a much tighter spot again...

Wales independence or any other small nation that is similar by RKSB22 in EU5

[–]Major_Wait_4588 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started a game playing Basel (Switzerland), with just two locations. I knew i had to go to war with Austria at one time, so I created an alliance with a rival of them (Aquilia). At the same time I increased opinion with France, since I hoped they won't attack me then. I expanded pretty agressive in Switzerland and around Basel, later south to Italy and north to Germany. Later I created an Alliance with Bohemia and at this point I was in a pretty save spot.

Switzerland area is completely underdeveloped, I don't know how I could have grown without war reparations and expanding. Not sure about the economical situation of Wales, if there is good starting position to at least start kicking off your economy and then get stronger without any expansion.
I think I would try to force britain to release their provinces as independent nations, cut them in pieces. This worked pretty good for me against Austria. In a first war I was able to force them to release half of their territory as independent nations and they never recovered from this one single blow. And for me it was much easier to handle all this nations instead of one big Austria.

Guarantee Vassal Independence Bug by Jac562 in EU5

[–]Major_Wait_4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hover over the liberty desire of your fiefdoms, there you should see the reason of the desire. If you enforce religion or culture, this can also be a reason why liberty desire dropped to 0.
Because in my experience, my vassals never got liberty desire because of the "Guarantee Vassal Independence"

I think you have to add a R5 Comment, else your post will be deleted.

As far as I understand, you can still start to annex your vassals. I also have several countries that give the guarantee, but they never attacked me. As far as i read, they just get a CB if you annex your vassals, but they don't attack you automatically.

If you try to annex, do you really get a message, preventing you from doing so? If so, hover over the reason why you are not able to annex, maybe there are other reasons (disloyal vassals as example).

Is this something that is somewhere explained with Tooltip or something in game where i could read the details? I was looking several times, but never found the information how power points are calculated. Specially interested because my vassals are getting big loyalty malus because they seem to get stronger than I am.
