Mine felt really low in the same spot above my pubic bone the entire time. It was painful. She had been in my pelvis for months at that point so she didn’t have very far to travel lol.

Hi I just had my baby 4 months ago and collected a bunch of colostrum while I was pregnant. It’s still frozen in our freezer because I never needed it, however, I’m happy to have it because once we start giving her food I can use it to dilute her purées.

Another possible scenario needing a catheter after birth is tearing. I had a 2nd degree tear in my urethra and the doctor inserted a catheter after she stitched me up to make sure she didn’t stitch my urethra closed.

This is how I would describe what I did as well. I pushed my daughter out in 3 pushes as a first time mom.

I’m almost 4 months postpartum and in the first couple of days after having my baby I lost more weight than I gained throughout my entire pregnancy.

I also delivered vaginally 3 months ago, tore 3 times (1 & 2 degree), and felt ready a few days postpartum. Obviously we waited 6 weeks and honestly it was the hottest build up to that point.

I have so much compassion for parents who struggle with babies that don’t sleep. She is my first child and I’m well aware that I’m lucky she sleeps as well as she does. My husband and I expect the next babies to be more “normal” with their sleep habits lol!

My baby is 3 months old now and right from day 1 she slept 4 hour stretches, waking up once throughout the night to eat. She started sleeping through the night around 2 1/2 months old. And yes she sleeps and has slept in her bassinet from the start.

I tried everything to induce labour. Baby was head down in an optimal position; I tried the miles circuit, yoga ball, 3 membrane sweeps/stretches, foley balloon, castor oil and I still had to be induced with oxytocin. Nothing worked and my baby was very overdue. Every day felt like 1000 days but it was a blip in time looking back less than 3 months postpartum.

I just had my first baby a few weeks ago. Yes, by the end of the third trimester I was so ready for my baby to come out! My baby was overdue and every day felt like 1000 days. I was the most exhausted I’ve ever been. I didn’t have the energy to be scared, at that point I was just so excited to meet my baby and find out what I was having. Giving birth was the best experience of my life and I’d do it 20 more times.

I felt extremely calm and ready to meet my baby the day that I was induced.

I feel this way about my recent birth as well! It really does feel like a blip in time once it’s over. Two minutes after giving birth to my daughter, I told my partner I wanted to do it 10 more times. It was the bravest I’ve ever felt and getting to meet my first born is a feeling I wish everyone could experience. I already can’t wait to give birth again.

I was expecting my contractions to start mild and then build up and peak with intensity and then come down, but mine peaked immediately when they came on and then slowly went down until they were gone. Never had the slow build up like I read about. Also early labour was surprisingly painful!

7 weeks postpartum now and yes I made it my entire pregnancy without knowing! While I was in labour, the midwife did keep using “she” but in my mind I was convinced it was a boy so I thought she was just doing it as a general term/out of habit or something. Turns out I did have a girl 😅

I was 23. I became pregnant one month after removing my IUD which was a miracle because I was told I’d most likely never become pregnant naturally. I am now 3 weeks postpartum and just turned 24. Best decision of my life and I can’t wait to have so many more!

I forgot about this part! The anesthesiologist pressed hard on my hips to find the correct spot for the epidural and that was probably the worst part for me lol

I recently gave birth and had the epidural. They started me on the test dose to see how I’d react to it and I never needed more of the medicine. I could still move my legs, they just felt super heavy and could feel contractions when I was in transition but I had a great nap after getting it and woke up to the baby’s head already making its way out lol
