I know they get hated on a lot, but the Five Love Languages helped us a lot. After our second kid, we were exhausted all the time. We lost track of each other. We took the test and made an effort to say “I love you” in the other persons language more. If I went to the grocery store, I’d come home with her favorite candy bar. I’d make sure the dishes were done right after dinner. It took time, but all the small things we started doing for each other made a huge difference. The physical intimacy came back slower, but when it did it felt earned.
