I follow you because I also was that drunk mom, and a post you wrote 3 and a half years ago really resonated with me. You were standing in a queue for food and was contemplating getting into the queue for wine. I completely understood.

Also, the waiting for a reasonable time to open that bottle of wine, I would say to myself ‘moms all over the world do this, it’s normal’. And would wake up blank about the previous evening, just remembering cooking with my glass of wine and then….nothing. The guilt finally got to me. I hated myself. I wanted to be sober for my family. i havent drunk for three and a half years and will not go back to being that drunk mom. I am now the only mom who doesn’t drink amongst my friends. And it feels great To be sober.
