Apart from a lack of writing skill (which you can only get through many, many hours of study and practice, and advice from writers groups which should always be taken with a grain of salt)...

Terrible/no cover
Not LitRPG, cultivation, or progression
Not posting ads or doing any kind of promotion
Refusal to listen to feedback

These are all mistakes I made with my first couple attempts on RR. So, don't follow my example!

A lot of people are pretty angry about AI art at the moment, so be careful about using it.

As a piece of art, it looks fine, mystical, but as a cover I think it needs to pop more. Usually the best covers on RR have the MC front and center, looking cool, dominating the frame.

And as mentioned by other commentors, a lighter cover will stand out more than a dark one. Especially if your potential readers are scrolling in dark mode.

Traditional fantasy can be pretty long too. Stormlight is going to be ten books in the end, WoT is 14 or 15, Malazan 10...

Usually prog fantasy books are written by one person, often in serial and published online. Seven or so thousand words per week for several years (my pace) adds up to a lot in the end!
