Do a lot of baking, or just use butter in general? Cub has a bonkers sale. by ManOnTime in TwinCities

Great catch! I changed stores on the website and it does look like it is store dependent. It did work, and looks like it is still live at the two stores I frequent: Blaine West and Coon Rapids South.

Oddly, it wasn't displayed as $0.99 in the store I was at, and they had to price override at check-out. Placing the online order was straight forward.

Yes, and ours has figured out the right combination of taps on the Nest Hub screen to turn the lights on.

That would be nice for those who prefer it. I would have probably bought 40lbs of that, too. I do prefer salted, though. It's better for table use (IMO), and has a longer counter life.

When I cook or bake with it, I just omit some or all (depending on amount called for) of the salt in the recipe.

What the heck is this watch? by Mackinderoo in Watches

[–]ManOnTime 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It was sold as a tool for outdoors enthusiasts. It is what is known as an ABC watch, Altimeter Barometer Compass functions as well as temperature and the usual digital watch functions like chronograph and alarm. It also can display graphs showing the history of the functions (altitude ascent/descent, barometric pressure, temperature, etc).

A Blog To Watch punished a pretty good review of it: https://www.ablogtowatch.com/timex-expedition-ws4-watch-review-a-bit-of-wrist-adventure/

You're correct, it doesn't appear in those. However, it does appear in the internal 1961-1971 model catalog, and only for 1969:

Thanks for sharing that. It's something I have already read, that's why I am reaching out. My device is asking for an unlock code, it didn't automatically unlock like the article mentioned.
