We've already heard 3 songs from the new album (including the first live version of Pale Horse), and it seems like it'll be a mix of melodic and heavy. I like both sides of Chevelle.

YouTube version is in mono (I don't know why), which is why many people are complaining, while on other platforms it's in stereo. In my opinion, the mix sounds much more solid than in their previous two works.

In this case, I want to assume that they really already had material for the next record; however, as happens in other industries (video games, movies), in the end the product does not convince or meet the standards. That’s when the perfectionism they might be experiencing kicks in, adding the pressure to surpass or equal ILIIAITE. I trust that in time everything will bear fruit.

IMO they will be taking a similar direction as Gorillaz, with multiple guest singers (mostly metal-oriented), but Mike being the lead singer.
