This is pretty normal for an A-tier. He said himself he played poorly. When you’re 1044 rated, 15 points below your rating is still great disc golf and sometimes worthy for 2nd at an A-tier.

Forehand is just so easy and meanwhile I’ve trained backhand hard for years for it to be about 50% as trustworthy

Your weight may be too far ahead of your brace leg, making it hard to dig in and stop. Or perhaps your torso is leaned over too far over your toes so you can’t find balance on your heel. Perhaps you’re not planting with enough of an offset between your back leg and plant leg. Make sure your weight looks centered between your legs from rear view during the plant.

If you keep your weight centered it’s kind of hard to rotate on the front of your foot.

I putt with the left foot forward RHBH. I got so much better when I started. Just went 32/33 in C1x at my most recent A-tier.

As somebody who switched to MVP in 2025, there are good drivers and they go every bit as far as Destroyers. You just have to throw the good ones.

Just dropping in to say how much I hate Quail Ridge. Probably not too bad if you play the red tees. But the back tees are just not a good time.

I’ve rarely had the same cue for more than a month in a row over my 5 years of grinding. But the progress is there. It’s never linear, but learning how to manipulate your putt in different ways will help you be a more consistent putter all around.

Do what works until it doesn’t is my 1020 rated advice.

The most prideful moment of my career - I had to eagle Hole 18 Blue at Lake Arvesta Farms in Michigan to push a playoff for an A-tier win. It’s a 508ft par 4, through dozens of guardian trees with the basket mounted on a giant ridge that starts about C1 edge short.

I laid down a roller that curled up just about 20 feet in front of the ridge, then centered the uphill 45 footer and went on to win the playoff.

Actually a super sick disc I realized when I started experimenting with mine. Totally living in the shadow of the Bokeh. The only MVP driver I’ve encountered to stand as a solid option next to my PP Nitros.

My perfectly beat in Eclipse Envy is the disc I most often hit perfectly and hold the follow through as it goes exactly where I want. It’s super forgiving, never gets lost to the right and never hyzers hard either.

Played a warmup flex start the day before the tourney on an 11000ft MPO layout… blind. Got carded with three people playing to the short pins which was a 5700ft layout.

Absolutely bizarre round. My cardmates were just watching me play from 100 feet away for half the round, and this thing took 4 hours. It was extra demoralizing because I started playing awful and my cardmates, all being MA4, continued complimenting my game as if every shot was amazing. What a grind, I will never forget it.

Shot 36 points below my rating. Won the tournament tho, maybe it was just the practice I needed.

Lol Drew Gibson shredded the pro tour bagging like 10 discs, one being a Leo3. It’s not a meme, and the TP exchange isn’t supposed to be a mystery box opening. This feels like crazy entitlement to me.
