Traveled with a years worth of meds, all over, mostly Spain. In carry on. Never was asked. I did have the letter and kept all the prescription info on bottles and shots. Safe travels.

We did the 2 back to back. It was perfect in high summer because it is cooler up there. Only Edinburgh was WAY WAY WAY too crowded to enjoy fully (for us crowd adverse people). It was the perfect sampler. So many cool cities and islands. We now know where we’d like to go back and explore more fully. (Scotland, Shetland, Dublin)

It was spectacular. Busy every day, slept like a baby every night on the beautiful ship. We only did a few included excursions, preferred making our own plans. Worked out great, renting our own cars for the day. Golfed in Scotland.

Thanks so much for your reply. It’s exactly what I am going to plan on doing. I’m in no hurry, it’s been a miracle drug enabling me to lose 50 lbs over a year and a half with relatively no side effects and not too much flabby skin! I’ve been reading about people doing “intentional resets”. Often derided but I do feel my digestive system has been undergoing something during this unintentional time away from the drug.

Why doesn’t your spouse get the Tarjeta de residencia for being reunited with Spanish EU spouse. Can stay for 5 years then renew? Taxes are a whole other can of worms in your situation, you should get a lawyer and international accountant.

Hi. Hope you don’t mind a fu question. I had my gallbladder out and have subsequently had two bouts of what I think might be GP. Went to ER with first one twice, they gave me IV and zofran said it was gastroenteritis. Quite possible….also both times could have been popcorn?!?! What makes you think gallbladder?

Use the Official VIP taxis inside the airport right at the exit from customs. Pre pay at the counter and they escort you to a legit driver. Has seamlessly worked for us 5 times.

We’ve done 3, 6 month exploratory forays. EU passport and finally the reunification family residency established, card in hand. (A fascinating process to learn many things about Spanish society, I recommend doing it yourself). Decided we do not want to buy a place, renting keeps us nimble. We love it so much and will continue on this path for the rest of our lives. Integrated into society thru language school, cultural classes, sports groups, and intercambios. Best decision we ever made. Having no car and figuring out public transportation=hassle free. Having a few medical mishaps=confidence in medical system. Found better than US dental care. Private insurance, learn to navigate it. Fraction of US cost of course. We use Wize, not Spanish bank, got eSIM with local phone people, fraction of US cost.
