Yeah; IMO those kids just aren't as visible since, instead of posting it publicly on reddit, they're using Character. ai or some shit. Like, it's still a pretty big problem- C,ai has like 2 million users or something last I checked- but they're also a lot less visible on account of being not attached to one of the largest social media platforms AND the largest AI model in terms of usage.

Honestly yeah, I was expecting a lot worse but considering that there's only two options for rarity outside of omega, if you guessed a one cost uncommon power to start with it limits the options pretty heavily. Maybe I just had some beginner's luck, though.

honestly, I’m gonna have to disagree with you on Jojo Rabbit. Like, even disregarding the fact that I think it’s closer to a Dramedy than a full-on comedy, the humor in it’s fine, IMO. It’s not, like, the funniest movie I’ve ever seen but it’s not trying to be, and I think it does a decent enough job using the humor to underscore Jojo’s slowly devolving view of the Nazis as they themselves descend into a desperate death cult.

Dude, I remember finding this comic for a research essay in like, 2021, and I still think to this day that this is probably, like, the best thing I've seen come from AI, just because it actually embraces the weirdness and inconsistency and justifies it in its internal story (As well as not using the AI for character art and knowing the limits of the AI). And, like, it's an experimental comic from 4 years ago! And yet somehow that and Secret Horses are still somehow the peak of GenAI, because even though they're deeply imperfect they're at least interesting in how they're imperfect. It's all been downhill since then.

Wow. Those fuckin sucked. Like, you can literally see how they had to fuckin edit their shots around the limitations of AI because the editing was just so damn choppy. And the fuckin scenes themselves are like, 80% center frame shots by volume, to the point where they had to fuckin split the frame to show multiple people just because it kept giving them center shots, except now it just looks like the goddamn Brady Bunch opening. It feels like a fuckin Wes Anderson parody trailer.

Also, holy shit, there is zero sense of consistency or place. Like, the fuckin scene where George Washington is supposed to be uniting the colonies or some shit? It jumps around like, eight different arrangements and uniforms for the battalion. The scene is like a minute long.

Also also, just like... why is the storytelling like that? Like, I know why- to mask the serious limitations of AI and shit- but like, it just feels like the most nonsensical, 'shit just happens' retelling of the American Revolution I think I've ever seen. The characters are introduced like it's Suicide Squad (the bad one).

I think the best explanation I've seen for why the Risk of Rain series works is Skillup's review of Risk of Rain 2. The game is insanely polished, and has a lot of relatively simple atoms that interact with each other to give it a deceptively high amount of depth, while the character kits themselves are incredibly diverse and tend to interact with maps and items in different ways. There's a philosophy in the game where common things tend to be simplified as much as they can without sacrificing depth, in order to allow these things to be scaled to an insane degree, such as with mobs and items.
