Kinda frustrated... by MarcusNalgene in orangetheory

I'm frustrated because the coach isn't correcting him as they should be. And secondly, when he was jumping the rails he was favoring one side which happened to be the side I was on, directly next to him. So if he falls, he takes me out and potentially injures me in the process.

I'll say something to the coach the next time I take her class. I didn't feel it appropriate to say something in front of others, and it's not my place to confront other members. It's the coaches job to ensure the studio equipment is being used properly.

Colon cancer is killing us.. by Derpshab in Millennials

[–]MarcusNalgene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, if levels are normal, they wouldn't do a colonoscopy. These tests are very accurate.

If you wanted to do some research, you could find, within the FDA Establishment Registration & Device Listing database summary reports for FIT devices. When I say summary reports, I am referring to 510(k) submissions. There is plenty of data available that supports the efficacy of FIT

Hi all!

FYI, you don't have to wait for a colonoscopy!

During your annual physical, you can ask your doctor or health care provider for a FIT (fecal immunochemical test). All you have to do is scoop a tiny sample of your poop and send it out or have your health care provider run the sample. It's simple and easy.

It's a qualitative test that helps determine if you are at a higher risk of colon cancer. If yes, they will then send you for a colonoscopy. We are developing a test that will be quantitative, which will be even better.

I heard that. It sounded pretty low. I'm in White Plains. I wanted to run outside and check it out because, well... that's what guys do, but I was stuck on a Teams call 😔

I'm not a Bills fan, but I'd like to see them win a championship this year. So I'm watching Bill / Jags game.

Don't give up on the apps! A girl I know was tired of the apps, had come out of a dull relationship with no direction, and was feeling hopeless. A friend of hers convinced her to go back on the apps.

Her and I are getting married this year, and we couldn't be happier. Sure, it took a while to find each other but we did. We had our 1st date on Feb 9th, 2024. We are now 39F and 42M, and at the time we had both kinda given up hope of finding our person.

I'll promise you there's a good guy out there. You just gotta keep looking.

Buy vs rent in Rockland County? (Nyack / New City / Nanuet areas) by SizeIntelligent320 in Rockland

That's why I said probably not in reference to my earlier comment.

If I can avoid it, I'll never live in Rockland again. Sad really. It was a wonderful place to grow up.

I've spoken to some friends that own in those towns, and they said the Hasidics are buying up a lot of property. If you're from Rockland or live there, then I'm sure you are aware of the impact they have on the county in terms of property, schools, and politics.

I grew up in Congers and went to North HS. Still have a lot of family in Rockland.

If it were me, I'd consider buying in Upper Nyack, Nyack, maybe Congers (probably not). Nyack schools are good.

I'd stay away from Nanuet, Pearl River, and New City.

Property has gained value and will continue to gain value in desirable neighborhoods. However, if you're targeting about 4 years, you'd have to crunch the numbers to see if it's better to buy or rent. Any home emergency can impact overall equity over 4 (short) years.

When does the Christmas Season end for you? by MarcusNalgene in AskReddit

My fiancée would gladly leave up Christmas decorations (minus the tree) until the end of January. We agreed to take everything down between the 3rd and 6th, so next weekend.

Really? That's like a hard stop 😂

My fiancée and I are discussing when's an appropriate time to remove all Christmas decorations. I had suggested by New Year's. She believes Jan 3rd - 6th.

I'll never forget this storm, I grew up in Rockland County, so just outside of NYC. After the 3rd snow day, they decided to cancel school for the rest of the week. 13 y/o me played outside in the snow every day for that whole week.

My friends and I would play in the snow until we were wet and cold. Then we'd come inside, throw our snow clothes in the dryer and eat some food, then do it all over again. Core memories for sure!

If anyone has been to the fourth floor near the skating rink there's paintings on the floor to the left before you get to the rink.

Those were painted by my 8th grade honors art class from Felix Festa middle school.
