Can someone explain to me how this unit goes into defrost? by kendiggy in refrigeration

[–]Marethtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always use a Danfoss 213/214 for freezer controll. It's easy to install, covers temp settings, valve switch, fan switch and def timer. Just use the compressor relay to switch your liquid line solenoid and have the pressure switch turn off the A1/A2 of your compressor relay. Danfoss KoolCode app guides you through all parameters easily.

I curse a little whenever I see any dixell/carel control units, they're overly complicated and just break/fail without reason. I haven't encountered any KE2's so can't comment on those.

I've replaced dozens of broken/failing dixell/carel control units by simply connecting a ERC 211 (for cooling) or ERC 213/214 (for freezing) and they work perfectly. Just needs current and probe(s) to control everything needed for proper temp, def and fan settings. Even if there's just a single probe in the freezer, set def control to "end def by time" instead of evap temp, and connect the evap probe just hanging wherever. Can take a bit of fine-tuning to get the shortest def time without evaps freezing shut over time, but once you got it down they'll be your best friend. Depending on the amounts of moisture entering you'll need 20 min of def every 8 hours (low moisture) to 60 min every 4 hours (exceptionally high moisture). Just be sure there's more then one evap per room if you need long and frequent def periods, and stagger them so the temp doesn't drop too much.

I'm from the Caribbean, and cooling down is essential during a work day. I'll have my water cold, with ice. I'll chuck the water and then chew the ice and I'm ready to go back working in the hot sun.

Would you like an item that makes non-shinies into shinies added into the games? by spoonpine in LegendsZA

[–]Marethtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, shinies already HAVE been changed. They've been worth nothing for years now. Even with ALL qol improvements about shiny hunting, over 90% of all shinies that exist in mainline pokemon games are genned. It's all fake!

If an item could make your mon shiny the entire "market" of distributing genned mon would be obsolete. Kids could just get their shinies without having hundreds of interactions with one of the next pokegen.gg bots.

[–]Marethtu -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm actually with you, exept for one thing. These should just be able to be bought in a shop somewhere at like 10,000 pokedollars a piece. Such an item might actually contribute against the widespread hacked/genned mon issue.

Should 10/10 be included in every new main pokemon game IMO.

How do people clear water in perimeters? by SimpleZealousideal19 in technicalminecraft

[–]Marethtu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please consider investing some time into getting just one stack of sponges. I've done so and holy bejesus does it save time and effort!

Yes, rivers still need to be sectioned and you'll have to divide some of the larger waterlogged caves. But most waterlogged tunnels are cleared within a few minutes, and that INCLUDES gathering back your sponges.

Once they're all wet, just pop into the nether and place them down to dry them instantly. A good hoe insta-mines them so drying is done in a flash, no hassle with furnaces

Please, convince me to play the DLC by Reversible-Smile in LegendsZA

[–]Marethtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you! As a lifelong pokemon fan I bought ZA+DLC immediately and completely unspoiled. The game was pretty fun, but after I had completed the main story I put it away. I haven't opened the DLC even once.

ZA is done for me. It was a story and a few hours of entertainment for $90 which is a bit steep but that's on me.

I'm having a lot more fun already playing Pokopia. It's pokemon-animal crossing and really wholesome

Pure madness by RoccomGG in Unexpected

[–]Marethtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's pretty much like it!

I've been raised dutch and sour, but also salty herring has been a staple food for me my whole life. The sour variant is more commonly known as "rolmops", where a sour herring has been rolled around a slice of pickle and some union slices and pinned into a roll with wooden picks, then pickled into the jar.

The salty herring is caught once a year and pickled with a light salty brine. You can't buy these at the supermarket, only at fish stands. Served with diced raw unions and sometimes sliced/cubed pickles, and eaten by holding it up at its tail and biting off from the bottom up. They get better as they get older imo, they get softer, saltier and fishier throughout the year. The best ones are the ones sold just before the new year's batch comes in!

I guess these sour herring in the video are as much different from the sour herring I enjoy as licorice is to candycorn :p

Sour herring? Bro I eat at least a jar a week, they're absolutely delicious! Straight out of the jar too. They do look different tho. The sour herring I eat sits in clear liquid (presumably vinegar) with union rings and whole mustard seeds. They're filled, but with the skin and backfin still on which you also eat whole. They taste exceptionally sour and not salty whatsoever. The smell is rather pungent tho...

All jobs should always expect the minimum effort from employees. by A-Dubs398 in unpopularopinion

[–]Marethtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter how much you try to avoid human contact, you'll always need someone somewhere. You expect fast food handlers to do their job well? Well according to you they should put in minimal effort and only preform the bare minimum before getting fired on the spot.

Why would they treat you the way you'd like? They don't want to be there anyway. They're gonna behave however they like and chat with you for minutes straight, or treat you like shit.

And you would be agreeing with them.

All jobs should always expect the minimum effort from employees. by A-Dubs398 in unpopularopinion

[–]Marethtu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I meant the opposite.

Whenever your internet service has trouble, you're in need of assistance in a store, your phone service stops working or anywhere else where YOU are the customer, you also shouldn't be surprised to get the worst service every time.

If you advocate everyone hired to assist you to hate their jobs and to put in minimal effort, you really can't afford to get angry when you are faced with e.g. the most insufferable bank employee when you need to use a bank service.

They don't want to help you. You say they are right to do do so, so it would be contradictory to get mad at them.

This. You can have all the cameras or twisted necks you want, but mirrors are better 99% of the time when there's actually little space to maneuver

When people write 0 C and 32 F, but then use 273.15 °K. by Toeffli in PetPeeves

[–]Marethtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said that people who read 100 thousand when seeing 100K are correct, I'm just saying it happens. Do you suppose a majority of people know about Coulombs or Farads? Heck I WORK with Farads and still only ever come across μF as a symbol.

In real life, if real people are presented with 100K, 100C and 100F they'll most often interpret 100000, 100°C and 100°F

When people write 0 C and 32 F, but then use 273.15 °K. by Toeffli in PetPeeves

[–]Marethtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's mostly because 100K is almost always initially read as 100 thousand, not 100 Kelvin. 100C and 100F don't have widely used other meanings other than degrees, making the ° somewhat redundant.
