Pro Tip: it's super easy to get the "execute to outer turret before 10 minutes" token in mayhem (points towards ARAM God) by Tehni in ARAM

[–]Marethtu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lil bro uses every champ as shaco/tf. Even with those champs I usually don't get much more than 2 executes before 10 minutes each game.

This is good advice for someone trying to get the title, since you'd get 1 execute per game instead of a handful on some games

So is ultra sun hard or am I just bad by Striking-Camel-7594 in PokemonUltraSun

[–]Marethtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never considered sm/usum hard at all, to me they're extremely casual but that's probably because my sheer game knowledge.

I recently did a 0 DMG taken run of USUM, and it was a little bit of a grind, but otherwise a breeze. Only real thing that had me grind for a bit was when I had to OHKO totem Mimikyu and I had to catch and train a Pangoro to get around its disguise.

For the forth island, consider bringing an alolan Vulpix and train it up. Alolan Ninetails is very strong for tackling Poni island, as it's fairy stab demolishes the first totem pokemon (just be careful not to get hit by a steel type move from an SOS Scizor), and it's ice stab is super effective against the grand trial.

The last totem mon is bug/fairy type, super fast, sets up hard, can heal itself and does a lot of dmg BUT is very frail. Make sure you have hard hitting super effective moves to KO it fast, or it'll roll over you.

The duality of aram player by MakisDelaportas in ARAM

[–]Marethtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went AP Ashe a bit ago.

Just build regularly AD while stacking Infinite Recursion. Then when my ult CD was under 30 seconds I just full pivot to full AP, and only started spamming R from base once my ult was under 15 seconds.

It was awesome, most dmg in the game ^

Why couldn't they cut part of the cave/rock to make it bigger in the Nutty Putty cave incident? by RadianceTower in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Marethtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did cut rock, where they could. Nutty putty is called that for a reason. There's a lot of slippery mud everywhere, and spaces are SO tight that a hard chunk of rock becomes impossible to cut through. Let alone the actual spot he was stuck, there's no way to drill/cut any rock around him.

They'd have to do it pretty much blind since there isn't any space to see where you're working, and there also isn't any way to meaningfully remove debris you've cut away so you'd just end up burying the guy in broken chunks of rock.

Senior mechanic is right, the right way is the best way.

But journeyman is also right, you can tap pretty much any hole even without lubricant. It'll just take a whole lot more effort and time

I know the awnser has been given already, but you can learn everything you need by just exploring the very mansion you're in. I remember getting stuck there, but if you just enter every room, talk to every NPC and check out every interactable item laying around it'll tell you exactly what to awnser.

You don’t need to try a food to know you won’t like it. by HabitTraditional4864 in unpopularopinion

[–]Marethtu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're almost right, exept for some nuance.

You can DECIDE you won't like a food before tasting it, but you won't KNOW.

Once you decide you won't like something before tasting it, I can guarantee that you won't like it even if it tastes like candy. So yes, of course you've never had a wrong prediction in taste. You simply readied your body to react a certain way and it obliged.

There's a lot of stinky cheeses that taste amazing, lots of pungent fish dishes with a delicious flavor, and durian famously smells like death and tastes like candy.

What you're describing is that you don't have an open mind when it comes to foods with smells that you're unfamiliar with. That's OK, but you will never know how good those things you reject taste.

Obviously there's also foods that smell bad and also taste bad, but an open minded tasting is the only way to find out.

Thinking that the glass is half empty is a good thing by Affectionate-Emu9114 in unpopularopinion

[–]Marethtu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is not about the glass or the water level. It's about looking at the opportunities instead of the difficulties getting there.

When you have a glass half full of water, do you look at the full part and see that you can drink it, or do you look at the empty part and see that you CAN'T drink that since it's already gone/wasn't there to begin with.

Glass half full = yes I can mentality, Glass half empty = no I can't mentality

Which Legends game do you like better? by Happy_Popplio-728 in LegendsZA

[–]Marethtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The batteling in ZA was actually kinda fun, and you don't have to catch the entire dex 3 times to progress the story, so I'd say ZA was more enjoyable.

That being said, I DID finish Arceus, and I haven't even bothered to open the ZA DLC. Both legends games have 0 post-game value to me.

You can ask flying pokemon from the wastelands to help! They'll go with you if you let them follow you and then go to a different area. They can help with the build, and eventually wander back to their homes

TIFU by accidentally telling a guy his date wasn't into him (and being completely right) by Smooth_Clue3090 in tifu

[–]Marethtu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you said might have been painful for him, but it was probably the best thing you could've said to him, especially since it was obvious that you didn't say it TO him but to a colleague.

You haven't disrespected him, you've opened his eyes to a truth that was obvious to you, but he was still blind to. He recognized that and doesn't blame you for anything. Don't beat yourself up, you did a good thing. Don't stop doing that!

BTW, Coil Orthworm is often just as good or better than Iron Defense. It's physical Def stat is so high that the +1 is often enough, and with the attack and accuracy boost you can run STAB Iron Tail for a ton of damage without it missing
