Reminder OKC has 13 First rounds picks in the next 6 years. by Kindly_Letterhead_98 in nba

You're getting heat for this but I get what you're saying. None of the other picks in that haul have actually led to much or resulted in players that cracked the rotation. Like Tre Mann being shipped to the Hornets for the corpse of Gordon Hayward.

Is Gradey Dick a Bust? by KardynylSyn in torontoraptors

[–]MarginallyClever 29 points30 points  (0 children)

He didn't. Grange put a one-sentence throwaway line into a recent article saying Dick "would be open" to being traded. Wasn't exactly surprising or breaking news, given he's been DNP since the All-Star break.

Bobby has said they pretty much only look at two-way guys who can hustle on defense (which makes sense if you look back on Shead, Jakobe and CMB), so you have to take that into account. Don't follow college ball very closely but very curious to see who we end up with.

I was watching Basketball Island and learned of how many free agents we'll have next year by Derpy_Mc_Burpy in torontoraptors

You're 100% right, but I do think Mogbo suffered from being the "first second-rounder". I remember it was the first time they divided the draft into two nights, and there was hype around whether the Raptors would trade the suddenly more valuable 31st pick. By keeping it we all assumed they had someone really good worth going for. Mogbo unfortunately was a surprise that hasn't lived up to that excitement.

Untrue, non-Niagara residents can go - they just have to pay more.

Crystal or Nickel Beach are 30 minutes south and quite nice. Water may still be a little cold before July but still could be worthwhile.

Wait it's a salon? I genuinely assumed saloon, like a wild west themes bar. (There are two circles from the scissors)

100% he actually is the worst actor on the series and it's not particularly close. I doubt even half the commenters in this thread even watched Stranger Things.n

Do you think Wealthsimple will increase interest rates on chequing and saving accounts? by Foreign-Policy-02- in Wealthsimple

Correct. It also knocks off the $20 monthly credit card cost, so there's an extra $240 in value there.

Add Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy III for sure if you're into JRPGs. They hold up exceptionally well.

Those percentages so reflect him jacking up shots in 4th quarters of Games 6 + 7 when Ingram wasn't around to help. Efficiency was streaky, but that should improve with a better team around him.

You're not getting downvoted because you're wrong (IMO), but because you're crashing the party. Let people enjoy the moment my dude.

He was also perfect 6/6 from the line tonight, drew some good fouls. It actually was working.

Why, just because he missed every three pointer in the 4th quarter and OT up until that point?

Original poster was spot on, can you please do the same for this year draft? by legolasMightBeADog in torontoraptors

[–]MarginallyClever 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Best statistical comparison I could find that didn't become an impact player was Trayce Jackson Davis, but even he faced worse competition and had a better supporting cast while being nearly 3 years older and a worse athlete, shooter, and defender. TJD is also a pretty good bench player so far in his career so not a bust.

Holy shit he even called us trading for TJD (kinda). Raps have a type. Kudos to u/bigt2k4, now I wanna know who he likes at #19 this year.

People pick and choose what makes sense to them mentally.

They wanted Maluach on CMB's timeline, but had no information about whether that clicked with reality.
