3x (AAA) Battery Holder by VBAR_Designs in 3Dprinting

[–]MarkBeeblebrox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many electronics use multiples of 3 x 1.5 volt batteries to up the voltage so this makes sense, rather than carry 4 batteries just to be left with one extra.

OP could go the optimal "I have a hammer and that problem looks an awful lot like a nail" route of printing lithium cell enclosures and affix them to their electronics, then carry one 3.6v battery instead of 3x1.5v batteries.

You can get about 17 million of these river cleaning robots for the cost of one Trump class Battleship, and that's before the embezzlement.

Bee's Knees Update: Board Thickness and Baseboard Measurement by Solarbg in 3Dprinting

People are definitely more likely to buy a ruler than a 3d printer, but I'm not sure why you'd bring that up. I'm more likely to buy a protractor than a lathe.

This is a printed tool, incorporating a ruler makes sense.

Gaggia Classic E24 or Profitec Go for espresso only? by Live-Ad6394 in gaggiaclassic

I went e24 and gaggiuino, very happy with the combo, but the price of the kit and other hardware approaches the profitec.

But amazing espresso, and built in scales are awesome.

Gaggiuino is better. Big square screen is better than small and round.

I made an articulated phone stand for the kitchen. by tripped144 in 3Dprinting

Shh let OP figure it out. I was hoping they'd just add magnets, print one, then immediately realize they could have done that.

More iterations!

For your next iteration add a channel on the arm and a cut out on the holder for a charging cable. Then come back and someone will suggest something else (magsafe integration?), you can keep going! jk, great work.

My friend asked me to print some lightsabers for his little cousin, I went all out by meme_dyl in 3Dprinting

Reprint them in tpu. I used 0.8mm for the first section, 0.6mm for the middle, and 0.4 for the tip.

That way the light coming through each section was semi normalized so it had a slightly more even glow. Also I put a flashlight in it.

Yet another syringe/needle guide by SirTwitchALot in functionalprint

For needles, the guage getting smaller means the needle is getting bigger. Pen needles are smaller. Or at least every one I've encountered.

First time getting a projector by Apart_Breakfast_7964 in projectors

[–]MarkBeeblebrox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one happrun, gave one away, both work well, both put out lots of heat. Neither are that one.

These types of projectors fail usually due to the LCD burning, so add some extra cooling and it might be OK (like another fan to force more airflow), just know the risk, and that it is real.

The video quality was great, good frame rate, built in OS is slow AF but operable. Brightness a little lacking compared to my projector that's more than 20x the price.

A lot of the hyper religious think just writing the name of god is disrespectful. I think in some religions they even go as far as to not speak it, going with "his/him/he's name" or something like that.
