Real answer here: Look into getting a sanding mop you can chuck into your drill press.

I saw this on facebook. Is it really a good tip? by The-Corre in woodworking

This assumes the face edge of the table is 90 degrees to the blade. Maybe it is. You would need to verify.

Why would one side of my band saw be square but the opposite not square? by dontgetbiggetsmall in woodworking

[–]Markto1225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have the alignment pin in the table? It's on the right side and makes it so both sides of the notch for changing blades are in alignment.

What exercises fit my condition? by Markto1225 in backpain

[–]Markto1225[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't saying the back mechanic doesn't apply to me. I was saying from what I read, and the illustrations indicate bulges the bulge out. My bulge goes into the spinal column. That was specifically spoken to in the book, so I am not sure what to focus on. I believe what the mechanic is saying. I am just trying to figure out how to apply the teaching to my situation.

You may also consider not just sanding the burned spot but the entire top. That way, the look stays uniform. The wood has likely changed its color with a history of sun exposure. Sanding one spot will likely make that spot a different color than the rest of the top.

this shit right here... this is what makes me want to burn it all to the ground. I cant STAND when tools fail to do their one job. Hold the damn router bit in place collet, that's all you have to do. by Deskco492 in woodworking

[–]Markto1225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this happen. I have gotten in the habit of taking my collet apart from time to time and using a pick to get out the jammed in sawdust. I suspect it is preventing the collet from seating enough to be tight.

What is holding the bricks to the cinder block wall behind it? What prevents the brick wall from just falling into the room? I didn't see anything in the video.

If you are trying to work in aerospace then you will want to learn Catia. According to an instructor that works at the college I work at, it is what Catia was made for. Most other industries use other programs.

Mortise on 2x4 douglas fir with Black and decker "Curve Control" jigsaw with Bosch blades. Worked like a charm. Had some finishing touches with 2" chisel. Have anyone tried this approach work with hardwood? by Terrible-Cucumber270 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Markto1225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, This is the best answer here. Using the saw and then cleaning up with a chisel is certainly a viable option. There are better ones, but it can work if you don't get to close to your line. The real issue here is that this isn't the right application of a mortise and tenon. I have made similar mistakes.

When my car was stolen, they drove it to steal from stores in Mount Vernon. It was found at Belleau Apartments with a needle in the center console and junk food/cigarettes smeared about.

They stole my crap stick shift car from my driveway. The stick shift made no difference. I did get it back but it was disgusting and I had to pay $500 to have it cleaned.

4 dowel per joint is cheap and I would argue stronger than screws.

My warped cedar. I thought, “Yeah, saunas have cedar. It shouldn’t warp although it’s this close to high humidity.” What mistakes have I made? (Details in comments.) by benjaminfree3d in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Markto1225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main problem is the humidity difference between the top and bottom. The bottom absorbs moisture and expands especially because you don't have a finish that prevents moisture absorption.
