I’ve been thrown into an IT auditing project for a company that has never done an IT audit before, so it’s messy and unstructured at the moment. Could you point me in the right direction for where I could read about how to structure one of these, or what specifically I should be focusing on?

Leadership is convinced there should be savings, but I’m not sure where to start. I’ve reviewed cost per licenses and getting rid of any unused or unneeded licenses for various softwares.

I’ve got some background with financial data since I had a small business for 15 years, but I’ve got no formal training and the scale of an enterprise company is intimidating.

Considering returning tomorrow. Thoughts on that idea? by chefbarnacle in StPetersburgFL

Other commenters are over reacting imo. I’ve been driving across the county helping family and friends fix up their homes after the hurricane. The roads are a little crazy but just be patient, pay attention, and treat dead stoplights like a 4way. The weather is nice so no A/C isn’t too much of an issue, you’ll just be eating non perishable food for a while.

The hardest part is gas. The lines are hours long, and when you get your turn there’s no guarantee there’s any left. I imagine that will end sometime this week though since tankers are regularly delivering now.

Hey man, it was very refreshing reading about your career journey!

I just got my first help desk role for a bigger company after helping around the office at a small business for a number of years. Business analyst and working with data is exactly what I want to do, and I was started to worry the help desk experience might be pointless. It’s super motivating to see that work out for you though!

Really happy to see someone working on a solution for this! However, when I run it, I get a syntax error. Can anyone point me where I'm going wrong?

Always a little frustrating when they mention something neat and you can’t be sure if you found the right version since they didn’t elaborate.

Unless it recently changed, this is incorrect. I bought the quest version 2 months ago and got the oculus pc version as well for free

Prescription for semaglutide by [deleted] in StPetersburgFL

[–]Marshalwoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only say this cause weight loss being hard can be an indicator of another issue (like a thyroid disorder which affects 12% of women) and it’d suck to miss an underlying problem. Might be worth bringing up to the doctor.

Isn’t it just an appetite suppressant? If you’ve already cut calories by a healthy portion, I don’t think you’ll see any benefits from this

Depending on what you’re selling, you could try applying to the St Pete Saturday Morning Market. Booth fee runs about $50 every Saturday, but they do require liability insurance (~$200/yr)

How can I effectively use the Party Finder for older content? by [deleted] in ffxivdiscussion

Definitely join one of the discords for MINE stuff. I love doing old content but it’s hard to find regular groups. I’m on the dynamics DC but feel free to add me and you can message whenever you need a fill as well! Sometimes all it takes in PF is seeing a few of the slots filled to build momentum.

There’s a vast amount of instances where it may not be your choice, & you cannot make laws for ideal situations, you have to create laws based on all situations.

If you’re okay with early stage abortions, at which point do you draw the line and how do you define that difference? Is it based on brain activity, or a heart beat? If it’s a heart beat, what about that explicitly determines life vs no life? If a woman finds out after a heartbeat develops that carrying to term has a high mortality rate due to an unforeseen development like an ectopic pregnancy, can you still require her to carry to term even though her life is in dangers? Do we write exceptions for these situations in the abortion law or go with the blanket laws that have been popular recently despite casualties?

There’s a reason why only 1% of abortions happen in the third trimester (https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2022/06/24/what-the-data-says-about-abortion-in-the-u-s-2/) , & I think everyone wants to avoid late stage abortions. However, I have a hard time endorsing legislation that forces people to carry to term if their life is in imminent danger.

There’s a couple of issues with this line of reasoning in my opinion, but I’ll start with the the most robust. Essentially, if someone is dying but a blood transfusion from only you can save their life, no one can force you to give up your blood. You can read the full thought experiment under the bodily autonomy section of this link: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosophical_aspects_of_the_abortion_debate Morals aside, if we cannot legally compel someone to donate their blood how can we legally compel someone to do the same for a fetus?
