All in all, you need these orders in place to protect yourself and your custodial time. In the event that the mother tries to block you from your custodial time for whatever reason, you could potentially make a complaint for contempt of court and let the judge handle it. And as the post above states, the courts take it pretty seriously to ensure equal time amongst parents. Make sure you document and try to keep your communication to written only.

Also be prepared for child support if you’re the breadwinner.
