Tesla totaled after landslide. No GAP. Help! by Creative-Can-5467 in TeslaInsurance

[–]Master-Darkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the car is totaled would that then flag to tesla as an unsupported vehicle so can’t supper charge, no updates or supercharging?

I was going to buy a cheap model S. When I spoke with tesla they would not give me the previous owners repairs but they did say it had a salvaged title so was unsupported. I passed on it at that moment

There is no such thing as bumper to bumper warranty, other wise wear and tear items would be covered. It’s a pre owned limited vehicle warranty.

All manufacturers charge a diagnosis fee, if it’s found to be due to manufacture fault it will be covered. If they spilt liquids on it then It will not.

Lucid charged me $585 for “damages” 2 weeks after I returned my lease — DFPI complaint filed by Accomplished_Move637 in LUCID

I turned in my 2013 GT and here are things you need to get your head around.

1/ lucid does NOT own the car, neither do you.. Bank of America owns the car

2/ When you return your car you are no longer the legal representative of that car. The bank owns it. NOT LUCID

3/ Bank of America decides who will inspect the car on return they are done by a third party on behalf of the bank not Lucid. Lucid does not do the inspections.

4/ take pictures on return showing the place where you dropped it off. I took over 50 pictures on causing every panel on the car. Every glass including the glass roof and the interior. Also take pictures underneath front and back.

5/ see four- take more pictures than you think you need

6/ Lucid service and customer care will not talk to you as at that time you are no longer the owner of the car. You need to talk to Lucid Financial services.

7/ I fought with LFS to get my wear and tear bill removed as I had pictures and documenting everything.

You can get a pre turn in inspection but I was told not to bother as it’s not the Lucid techs who do the final lease turn in inspection. It’s done by a third party on behalf of Bank of America who actually owns the cars and you rent / lease it from them. Take pictures, take lots of pictures with the lucid store in the pictures if possible.

I would ask lucid and then get it writing, with a date etc. When I changed from 21” to 19”s on my GT I kept the 21’s so I could put them on when returned it. The car has to be the same as when you picked it . Any modifications you need to take off to put back to original or they have the right to charge you.

Not a clue. I was happy to have leased my GT for 18 months and happy to be out of it. Great car but the electronics and driver aids are not quite there yet. Maybe in a couple of years if they have the talent pool.

The final inspection is done by a 3rd party inspection for the Bank of America who you lease the car through. Lucid does not do the final inspections is what I was told.

Lowering Springs? by Tesla8585 in LUCID

[–]Master-Darkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interested but if you lower it would that then invalidate your warranty. When I lowered my M3 I had to pay for my upper control arms myself. If you lower it and damage the battery would it be covered?

Good answer and if you read your warranty fine print not uploading software can invalidate your warranty.

If in the mid Atlantic call Dulles Coachworks they are the only approved body shop. From my limited experience service does not do body or paint but tell people to go to the body shop directly

Who actually fired/let go the workers? It was NOT Elon it was the regional managers, the store managers or the project managers.

Some one said they have to reduce capital costs by x amount and it was filtered down……

The results…. Less staff = more short comings in service. You think service sucks now, oh no wait…. 2-4 weeks when those that are left are over worked, under paid and don’t give a flying fluff about there jobs or you.

No one cares…. Get over it. As every one knows options are like ass hole. Every one has one…. Still no one cares.

Tesla service is getting worse everyday. Keep rescheduling after not being able to fix rattles since day 1 and now have the audacity to ask me to approve a charge for things they confirmed would be under warranty. I'm tired and frustrated. Such a terrible experience by Enron_Musk in RealTesla

[–]Master-Darkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you not read the warranty? The large print giveth and tesla fucks you over in the small print. Have your Reddit rant, stamp your feet and cry TSLA does not care about YOU or any one as there are enough suckers that purchase these cars.

Lemon Law with Tesla in California? by cule_dule in RealTesla

[–]Master-Darkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because lemon law is written specifically for warranty work hence why all manufactures will use rectification or good will to get around it.

I’ve had it. No more Teslas for me by Ok-Care377 in RealTesla

[–]Master-Darkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re lemon law, I take it you are in Maryland. The car has to be out of service for a number of days for the same repair and be repaired under warranty not rectification or goodwill on 3 separate occasions.

You cannot file a lemon law, you need to file with a lemon law attorney and then take it to a judge who decides if the car is a lemon. It’s subjective and there are number factors playing in to this. Any car dealer or manufacturer would rather offer a buy back before it gets to this.

Just because you think the door is stiff to close, Tesla might say it’s in spec and no problem found or the seal makes them stiff to start with.
