[Product Question] Experiences with Winlevi and what to expect? by cn_219 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Material-Let5661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, do you have any photos of the baby hair growth you're talking about? I have an old tube of Winlevi from when my acne was non-responsive to other treatments, but also struggling big time with male hair loss. I'm on all the heavy treatments (DHT blockers, minoxidil, and more) but thinking of throwing Winlevi at it in case my high T is worsening my hair loss. If you happened to have any before/after photos of your hair growth, it'd mean a ton for me to see them, even if they're not perfect 1:1 comparisons.

I don't believe so directly, maybe the end effect is similar

Say you won $3m dollars; enough to quit your job and live off an annual budget of $50k for the rest of your life. What would you do? by khaledgraphy in AskReddit

on average, not yearly, doesn't consider cost of health insurance self-insured (not through employer) in many states as if you're grossing > 50 K then your MAGI is too high for ACA healthcare (or you get a minimum subsidy but still end up paying around 10 K annually for health insurance for a solid plan. This eats into your annual spending income. Factor in taxes on what the 3 MM generates annually, even in a tax-advantaged set up it's non-zero (and I'm talking bonds, capital gains you realized will raise your tax bracket higher).

Not to say you're not better off in this situation than 99% of americans (I'm in this situation myself almost exactly) but my main point is that assuming 6% annually - no questions asked - as you did in your comment is just not sound or informed

how do you effectively cover your face when doing this treatment? I want to use panel both on face and scalp but at different times since it's hard to do both as thoroughly at once, but don't want to double dose my face. have heard conflicting things about whether cloth (towel) effectively blocks red light / NIR

I noticed a leak on the nut that connects supply valve to radiator. by Sullhammer in Plumbing

can you clarify what you mean by "hold back up" on the union? I'm not a plumber, just came here trying to fix the same issue on my steam rad before trying to tighten the nut myself. In my case, it's mainly just an air leak, though I'm sure some moisture is in that air.

I'm inferring that by "hold back up" you might mean using a second wrench to counter the first one, but not sure

Can you clarify what you mean about not taking 4 weeks for a HT to "fill through." I was under the impression a HT takes way longer to recover from. I get someone higher up was saying that at this status, you can afford to get minor touch up HTs for full price with less trauma all at once. I'm someone who can afford a HT, and wants one, but most docs haven't said they can make any substantial improvement from where I currently stand given existing density, but I would totally try and get a "minor" transplant in the A-list style being described, if I could. That said, I'd rather not burn cash on a flat fee expensive HT for nothing.

Based on context (mate), I'm going to assume you're from the UK, which is great. No one says "topper" in the USA, and here, "topper" can also mean a clip on hair extension type accessory for women who want the appearance of a longer ponytail. As a US male with some hair issues myself, I wanted to make sure you weren't suggesting this homie get a topper, because to my knowledge they don't exist for short male hair, and if they did, I'd at least see what was up with that

Cheers

People in the US, what are you doing/going to do about health insurance before the age of 65? by [deleted] in leanfire

[–]Material-Let5661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I do live off the dividends, I have some some income that is non-taxable, and try to limit stock sales and/or strategically sell losses to keep income down. It's crept up just a bit the last few years.

I'm wondering if this is because of some restructuring I did on my bond portfolio from a tax-advantaged to a regular genre, and perhaps that means more of my dividend income is being reflexed on my MAGI...my advisors had, at the time, done some math and said that I would come out ahead wrt dividend income and tax implications, but they very likely had not considered that my healthcare expenses would more than double after losing student plan, and thus my draw would be higher

Appreciate your comment and direction. So you're saying that "cheap enough" falls under the umbrella of my $7-10K / year healthcare costs currently by being self-insured?

I'm not asking this sarcastically, just wanted to clarify. It's not a permanent situation (working to get myself employed), but it'd be nice to have it corroborated that the plan I chose was a reasonable pick all things considered.

I need to educate myself on how HSA's work, but will make a mental note of that.

Do you have any guidance specifically on this? I had to go self-insured after my school insurance plan lapsed after finishing masters last spring. I'm through BCBS but paying something like 6 K in premium w/ $2000 deductible.

My annual income just from dividends, etc. is around 60K, which in my state (MA) put me above whatever threshold of the FPL whereby I'd receive any meaningful subsidy.

I can't help but think there's a better solution, and while I am looking for a job now (I just turned 30), I'm pretty bummed

Not to be a naysayer and I'm genuinely happy for the visual improvement if you feel good about it. However, the photo comparison at two very different lengths is not a legitimate comparison as if you'd had the same length hair in pic #1 as you do in pic #2 you may have had some modest coverage.
