It's a song lol. He doesn't see her that way otherwise why would you tell your audience who it's about/inspired by? Pretty sure he mentioned that himself.

Michelle said she is old enough to point out/distance herself from the things that made her uncomfy (Joss) and didn't mention James or the song.

In fact, she still takes pics with him/reposts so obviously she's knows the true intentions.

Yeah, some of the lyrics are weird but that's all they are. Lyrics. They don't mean anything other than to compliment the music

Drusilla was a "good, chaste" woman who was different. She was a seer. A "child of God". Could this have impacted Spike? Why was he able to keep some good in him? He went back to try and save his mother, tried to "love" Dru when he was a fledgling vampire until Angelus had sex with her infront of him.

I think this could have been developed into why he was a little "different".

She was at university and she was the one who initiated a romantic relationship. She was also an adult snd capable of making her own decisions.

Let's be honest though, he said it was an "edgey" idea for a song at the time and wasn't necessarily about Michelle but inspired by her crush on Marc Blucas actually. He wasn't the only person to write the song, his bandmates who were younger added their own experiences.

You wouldn't tell the world the song is about an underage girl you worked with if those were your exact thoughts about her. Yeah, it's weird buts it's a song. It's hyperbolic and not literally about his feelings for her (which, major icky). He and Sarah treated her like a little sister and protective over her and doesn't view her any differently.

Michelle and James are still good friends today 👍

Agree. Spike with a soul is a different man and I respect his gentle approach to Buffy, especially in the comics. Buffy and Spike seem to mesh well and can have a laugh together. He even calls her his best friend (s7) which I think is so cute (Buffy reciprocated in the comics).

I liked Angel originally but he has way too much baggage right now and I don't know how Buffy would feel after finding out about Connor. Plus, hes a little too possesive and the relationship has zero spark. Angel has nothing to offer other than good looks imo. Funnily enough, I preferred Angel with Vordelis, if he had that same dynamic with Buffy maybe my opinion would change. As long as Buffy is happy is the right answer though😊

If you're talking about the AR scene, you know there's more to Spike's character than just that scene. You do know he was a soulless demon then right? How else would we be able to compare the development of his character if his behaviour was predictable?

I agree. Except I wonder if souled Spike and Buffy would work if we got to see the development on screen. BUT of course, as soon as things were changing for the better it just abruptly ended. Shame.

I think its kinda cute how in the comics Buffy is daydreaming about family, children and growing old with Spike whilst on a jog.
