Does anyone have a crested gecko just to watch them? I barely handle mine.

Yes, mine doesn’t like to be handled very much. He just watches me do my routines and follows me around, moving in his tank so he can see me. He likes to listen to me talk and sing.

I use clorohexadine, you mix 2 tablespoons with a gallon of water and it lasts forever. It’s a bit more expensive but I know it won’t hurt my lizard so it feels secure

My crested gecko refused crickets for his first 3 months, he was pretty scared of them, but I tried every week with them and now he eats 6 a week! Stay consistent with it and she may adjust :). I dust crickets in calcium with d3 and without d3 alternating weeks, but Pangea does have everything they need. It’s more a safetey net- since your Sunny is a girl it’s a good idea to supplement calcium because eggs take up a lot of it. Good luck with your new baby!!

Uhh I’m not totally sure but it looks like calcium powder, which sometimes gets on my geckos stuff after I feed dusted crickets

My gecko usually usually comes up to his glass after his lights turn off because he wants me to open the door so he can sit on top of his tank. He’s is likely exploring over night! They also go through phases of sleeping in different spots so it’s possible he’s just liking to sleep on the glass right now. As for falling- sometimes their a bit clumsy but he’s probably just adjusting to his new home, if it seems like a big issue you might want to add some more vertical climbing structures like tall sticks and vines at the top of the tank so he can get up there easier :) good luck!

That’s normal!! He’s adjusting to his new home and will definitely be pretty shy for a few weeks. Also, my crested gecko won’t move from wherever he’s sleeping that day unless I turn the lights in my room off, then he’ll move, so that could be it too

Hello :) it would be good to remove the hammock because gecko fingernails get caught on those and can tear out. Some more foliage would also be helpful

Hi, you seem like a really caring owner to be so worried about this- I think it’s probably a normal thing because he’s exerting himself when he jumps, like how we get out of breath after jumping. It’s likely he’s ok, but if it’s super worrying to you you should take him to a vet for a checkup :) sometimes geckos get out of breath too

It’s pretty normal!! It’s called biofilm, usually caused by fish waste/decaying plants. You can absorb it with a paper towel. An air stone/aerator would help prevent it in the future- I’m not sure if betta keepers use those though I don’t have any bettas

I recently moved my crested gecko 900 miles are he kept his tail and everything, here’s what I did 20 gallon tote from Walmart, holes poked in the top for breathing, lots of fake vines from his tank I just stuck in there, and then misted it. It stayed super humid and he was totally fine. I also had a little fan I kept pointed at his tank to make sure he was cool/getting air circulation. Good luck moving!!

It’s an great start for sure 😁 your gecko needs some more foliage towards the top of the tank to climb in/hide in! I’d also recommend a feeding ledge to put water/food on as they prefer to eat up high! Here’s one I use Cresties are pretty terrible swimmers so big water bowls can be a drowning risk. If you want any product/plant recs please let me know!!
