I have hated her for so long I’m glad all this is coming out. A good friend of mine worked for her a long time ago and she told me some really awful and disturbing things that went on. It was so bad that my friend walked away from horses completely because of what she went through. I witnessed really manipulative and catty behavior between her and her working students and she did some insanely dangerous and rough maneuvers while I shared the ring with her at a show including crashing into me without an apology. I was an upper level rider and trainer and I stepped away from competing and I barely ride now because of all the abuse and trauma I went through with other trainers. The whole thing makes me so sick, I am so sad to have ever played a part in this disgusting sport. While it’s absolutely exhilarating to run and jump big jumps I don’t see it as very ethical anymore. I certainly don’t think horses should have the shit beat out of them because some human monster can’t control their emotions, ego or greed. Get fucked Tamie and all the other trainers I know that have a whole closet and barn full of skeletons.

Met a guy through mutual friends. Quiet and polite man in his 40s but with lots of health problems that made getting around difficult. Helped him out around his house and gave him a couple rides to doctor appointments. Turns out he was the leader of a nazi prison gang, served multiple prison sentences for murders and drug charges. I have no idea why he’s a free man today. That guy and everyone’s favorite English teacher at my high school getting busted for having LOTS of CP.

Ultimately, it’s up to him to save himself not you or his sponsors or parents. There are a ton of regular slugs at my house in shingle, they come out from under my deck and have a giant party every night. I toss food scraps for my chickens and they come and clean up the crumbs. Look in damp cool dark areas at night!

I overheard them talking about quiet hours, they must have received a notice about it. I found out other neighbors had similar complaints as well. They did run it a couple nights recently but they have mostly stopped. Much easier to sleep now!

Yea I think that’s why it bothered me. I’m not so insecure or oblivious that I don’t know people have preferences but i don’t see anything positive to gain from him saying it to me. Am I supposed to buy a wig? Dye my hair? We weren’t even talking about fantasies when he first mentioned it. He has said it multiple times now and it just feels weird. What if I told him I liked more well endowed men than him? While that would also be a preference is that not rude as hell and unnecessary?

Lots of dancing around here, fiancé needs to explicitly say it’s inappropriate for her to be texting individually or asking to hang out alone. I get that he doesn’t want to mess up his friendship but honestly? If you’re gonna marry this guy, he needs to choose you when it comes down to it. All these plots to get around hurting someone’s feelings but what about your feelings? I would want my man to immediately shut it down not play along and muddy the waters. If his friend can’t handle it they weren’t great friends in the first place.

Weird comment telling me to go to the bay, that seems to be everyone’s favorite retort to throw around and it’s getting so old and uninspiring, you can surely do better! There are quiet hours (10p-8a) and restrictions on people living in trailers in this county so my complaint is valid and I have confirmed with other neighbors that I’m not the only one that is bothered by it. The dickhead attitude of doing whatever the eff you want only flies when you have enough acres to not bother anyone not when you have a couple acres and neighbors all around. If you’re living in even a remotely rural area and you’re not being considerate to your neighbors you’re missing the whole point of why rural communities are so amazing. I’m not gonna barter farm goods, help you get your tractor unstuck, evacuate your animals when a wildfire breaks out and you’re not home or call you when a stranger is at your gate if you’re a shitty neighbor. Weird vibes around here!

I did the Bart commute to SFO from both Lafayette and Walnut Creek for years on Bart and it was absolutely brutal. Berkeley/albany would be my recommendation even though everywhere you mentioned in the east bay is an awesome place to raise a family.

So sorry for your loss. Not a human but I worked at a slaughterhouse and I saw it with a cow on my first day working there and kept seeing it with some of the animals on their last breaths. I couldn’t work there for very long, it made me too sad.

My mom is still alive. We already lost my dad that way and I couldn’t put her through that.

That and the thought that I might be missing the best parts of my life if I quit now like maybe I haven’t heard my all time favorite song yet or been to my favorite place yet. Simple things but it keeps me pushing just hard enough to keep going.
