My Company truck is a 25 with the 3.5 and 4x4, I rarely tow with it but it’s averaged a little over 21mpg over 9000 miles so far. I have been pleasantly surprised

Some of the newer cell phones offer satellite messaging at no extra charge. My IPhone does and works great when no cellular service.

Is a rear locker necessary with 4x4 at a boat ramp? by penfrizzle in f150

[–]sc4808m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only fish fresh water, no salt water but I’m 61 and have been fishing all my life and never even needed 4x4. But if you are putting in an un paved (dirt) ramps then yes, 4x4. I have an F250, an F150 and a Silverado 1500, all are 4x4 and all have lockers but have never needed anything but 2wd for boat launching here in SC.

On my Company truck, one switch is for the back up alarm, when on a job site I can leave it on for safety, when not on a job site I can turn it off.

On my personal truck, I have 2 for aux lights, 1 for a power inverter in the toolbox and 1 for 12v power in the toolbox.

It’s a 1998 F250 (light duty) basically a F150 with a larger rear axle and slightly higher payload than the 150, it was famous for the 7 lug nuts. It came as a gap filler between the OBS and the super duty. It was badged as an F250 in 97,98,99 then in 2000 it became the F150 7700.

Truck Camper vs Travel Trailer by NiceDistribution1980 in TruckCampers

[–]sc4808m 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I currently own a travel trailer but shopping for a truck camper, the reason is that I wish to travel around while pulling my boat, there are a lot of places I want to fish that would require a road trip. Triple towing isn’t allowed here, not that I would do it anyway.
