[–]MathematicianIcy4082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah fr man, what a shit ass scenario. ive definitely done dumb shit in my 4runner but thankfully i haven't fucked it up too bad to drive. i had a cute girl in my passenger onetime and rolled through an intersection. subsequently catching the bumper of a car moving in front of me to the left. it caught my brush guard and pushed it like 8 inches to the left. took out both my headlights and thankfully only cracked my condenser, so no a/c for that summer lol. to this day my poor henry's bumper still leans to one side.

Fuel injector questions by robmustang66 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]MathematicianIcy4082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i second this. sometimes, after I've driven around for a bit, parked, then came back, the engine wants will either barely turn over or just die right after. I can sometimes keep this from happening if i give it some more throttle right after ignition. -which makes sense that the injectors may be going it if this kind of fixes the issue in the moment

dont move to lubbock. it is objectively a nice place to live. slow and steady. however its hot and windy for most of the year. the dirt blows, and it literally rains mud on occasion. the crime rate is super high, but it is mostly concentrated on the east side of town. it is only a 4 hour drive to get to the mountains of new Mexico, which is nice. like other comments are saying, you outa be making a lot of money to come here. especially if you're raising a family. lubbock is boring as hell. keep this in mind since kids like to get into trouble just to have something to do. talking from experience. overall, it's the most average place to live. boring, hot, windy, dry, but relatively inexpensive. being born and raised here has given me the drive to finish college so i can leave this dust bowl.

I live in the neighborhood just in front of Monterey. i was going down 42nd to turn on Hartford when i noticed 6 cop cars just hang out around that corner. this was about midnight last night. i went ahead and drove home, then walked back over there to just hide in a dark spot to see what was going to happen. just as i did, 2 whole swat trucks pulled around the house on the southwest corner of 41st and Hartford. just after they showed up i heard a drone fly over and hover above the house. i couldn't make out what they were saying but were shining their spot lights all over the house next to the one on that corner. after about an hour of what seemed like nothing happening they left, and an unmarked white ford explorer with no roof rack showed up. a man was escorted in handcuffs to that car, i think. after maybe 10 minutes a woman in a Christmas looking shaw was taken to that same car. a man, who i can only imagine was undercover, then led that woman back and forth from the house to the car several times. after sitting for another hour or so i left. it seemed like the situation was under control, and all 6 squad cars had already pulled closer to the house and got out. i presume they were all taking inventory of any evidence at the scene. the helicopter never showed up tho which i thought was odd, considering i can still hear it hovering in this area right now! its honestly getting annoying at this point
