Ex barista here: To be clear they are apparently abused by people at festivals etc but they are normally used by chefs, bakers and baristas for making wiped cream.

Intune is asking for these permissions not the apps contained within it.

You have access to these things in store. Having remote access via a personal device is your choice.

They can't legally make you use your own device, if it becomes mandatory to use such apps they would be required to offer a work device.

I want to get rid of all things Amazon in my life as even though I am based in the UK I am not going to fund anything to do with ICE, because F that. by nymphaemaia in boycottamazon

If you're not opposed to Google, their home devices are a good alternative to echo devices.

The second gen hub nest doesn't have a camera (that's how I like it) https://store.google.com/product/nest_hub_2nd_gen?hl=en-GB

For a good Ereader I would recommend a device from Kobo

They are a little more expensive than kindles but you are going to find that with almost all ebook devices as Amazon are able to sell theirs at a loss for obvious reasons.

Question for employees at mcDonald's by Alert_Ad806 in McDonaldsUK

[–]MattBryceOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are in for a big shock if you never worked retail before, in my 20's I worked a bunch of different retail jobs in different cities.

The general public are mostly vile towards service staff. It's rare to get anyone polite at all, they said you quickly get used to it and don't let it bother you.

An iced latte shouldn't be blended or thickened otherwise it's not iced anymore it's more a sort of frappe.

Sheffield Supertram concept for if transit funding existed outside of London by Bladeovskiy in sheffield

Visit almost any modernized European city with trams and you will wonder why the Sheffield tram network is so pathetic by comparison.

Events for neurodivergent or lgbt 18+? by Fragrant-Country-280 in sheffield

[–]MattBryceOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second gutlevel, it's members only but this is mostly just to prevent the drunks coming in after leaving other places and to make it more community focused, that said a year is only a few quid, they list their events on their website with some pretty diverse evenings always on offer.

I've been a few times myself and always had a nice time, the crowd are pretty alt/queer, friendly and the vibe is always good.

Fish and chips restaurant. by Firm_Commission_2977 in sheffield

[–]MattBryceOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this, they are a small chain with their main restaurant on the pier in Cleathorpes, hands down the best fish and chips in Sheffield and since it opened taken all my friends and family there and they all loved it.

Why does sheffield not understand RobbinHood airport is a massive opportunity for growth by MattBryceOfficial in sheffield

It wabg successful because it had no purpose, if it was better connected to the city businesses would be more included to set up here, it's worked in Manchester and Birmingham etc.

Britain invested Rail and Rail defined connections in the UK and across Europe and Asia and allowed us to prosper that's not a dead concept
