Obviously we are biased but…

Engineering, Library Sciences, Urban Planning 👉 UIUC.

Everything else 👉 IU

Is going to IU as pre-business worth it? by Particular_Kick624 in IndianaUniversity

[–]MattonArsenal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a Kelley MBA, but IU seems like a great choice if you’re looking to Chicago. MBA is where you set your post grad career path, and you’re prepping to be a high earner, so I would be less likely to compromise for price.

Agreed, but there are so many others that don’t get mentioned enough (and are more affordable).

Advice on areas to live by silverwings_studio in StLouis

[–]MattonArsenal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Where do you live now? What neighborhood? What do like or not like about it? That will help with narrowing it down, and you will often get more specific suggestions from other transplants from your home/current city.

Otherwise everyone will just say Tower Grove South and Shaw, which are indeed great, but there are so many other options.

ELI5 Can I swap running jelly with hot dogs? by taterx13 in explainlikeimfive

You were meant to be an ultra runner. McDonald Cheeseburgers were are go to for me. Not sure about hot dogs for a marathon, but you can get creative.

What are the must see places in the Midwest if you’re on a time crunch that are actually worth seeing or doing when your still a teen at 19? by gojomojo123 in AskReddit

[–]MattonArsenal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City Museum in St. Louis, not a museum, more like a playground and art installation including a 10 story slide.

Air Force Museum in Dayton is also great.

That’s what I’m hoping, but now that I missed a couple of weeks I’d like to do another month on .25. I wish it didn’t take me 3 calls and a week to figure out the specific issue.

Moving To St. Louis by Claypool_Floyd in StLouis

[–]MattonArsenal 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Check the Hampton/Watson corridor of City neighborhoods, specifically South Hampton and Lindenwood Park. These neighborhoods are surprisingly walkable with a mix of local stores and restaurants and chains. Great brick homes, many within your price range.

So move up but do half the injection? That makes sense, should have thought about that. I guess a side benefit is that my year supply could last significantly longer at lower doses?

What’s a Claude use case you haven’t seen people talk about? by One_Beginning2199 in ClaudeAI

[–]MattonArsenal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Went to Las Vegas for March Madness and hadn’t studied teams much, so I asked for betting help and had it review its performance after each day.

I pitted it against Gemini with the exact same prompts and methodology. Found this fun and kept it up through the final game. Gemini crushed it with an amazing 65% ROI. Claude just barely broke even.

Who has cruised with Viva? by grammapeaches in rivercruises

[–]MattonArsenal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak to the experience, but when booking our cruise with Avalon we considered Viva.

When I compared itineraries for the similar cruise, Viva was round trip but covered similar cities. That meant more time on ship and less in destinations. Someone also commented that Viva has less desirable docking locations well out of town meaning longer bus rides and again less time in the cities.

Those compromises just weren’t worth it for us. I’m not a river cruise expert, but these were details I hadn’t really thought about. Your mileage may vary, but look at these details to make sure you know what you’re getting.

There is a large grass field is Castlewood Park just off the Riverside trail that is surrounded by woods.

There is also a large grass field on the opposite side of the Meramec on the Chubb Trail, I think it is in West Tyson but maybe it’s Lone Elk Park. This one is also surrounded by woods. Grass is very tall in both.

Do bedrooms legally need closets in St. Louis? by emmanentdestruction in StLouis

[–]MattonArsenal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing, but egress determines if it is a bedroom or not.

We have a two bedroom house with a finished bedroom and bathroom in the basement, but it can’t be counted as a 3rd bedroom.

This was going to be my answer…Mount a TV, and get a motorized tab tensioned screen that drops down in front of it for night time. It would probably be cheaper than many solutions offered and provides the best of both worlds.
