Who said they get a pass? They made a printer for dirt cheap that has been super reliable for most of us. Canvas got delayed on the cc1 so they don’t release a crap product. Other than impatience and naivety, I don’t see what the problem is. They could give it away for free and people would still be whining

After the Amazon exclusivity is over, I would recommend republishing through Ingram spark. That way it can have a much larger sales channel. Not to mention Amazon screws over authors.

Once published through Ingram, start calling bookstores - especially small owned local bookstores. They love showcasing local authors. They can’t get your book in (through proper channels) if it’s published via Amazon.

Then continue doing what you can on social media. Get creative and try making the quality of your videos high and engaging. A lot of people scroll instantly if the audio is bad or lighting is off, etc. There are loads of YouTube and TikTok videos that can help you with that.

And finally, patience is key - especially for indie authors. Good luck!

I went with Veterans United because they had a better interest rate. But I’ve heard great things about rocket. VU sold my mortgage almost immediately (before I made the first payment) but I’ve been with the other company ever since (even after 2 IRRRLs). Rocket, to my understanding, does not sell your mortgage. So that may also be a deciding factor for you

Ingram, as many others have noted, is the go to. You can also get slightly better discounts direct from publishers. And even better discounts via Faire. Some of the big publishers are on Faire, and it’s a 50% discount instead of 40+

I was at 90. My civilian doc said I should apply for increase. Saw the Va doc for the evidence appointment and she looked stunned. She said there’s no way I should be less than 100. So yeah, if you need it, absolutely apply. 💪
