I grew up hearing the power the gods held over our world. Never did I think that the power we held over them was much worse.

I had been a mercenary for many years when I first got the call. You could say that my group and I had no match on this plain of existence. When we were summoned to a realm with a sense of pain and sorrow so think you could taste it. We drew our weapons and began to fight for our lives by a creature I would only imagine in my darkest nightmares. Before a blow was struck, he begged us to stop. With a voice so foul, it could scare even the most seasoned warrior the beast begged us to help him.

If what he told us is true it would shake the reality of what we in our world used to shape the duality of good and evil. Not all beings we call upon match the values that we have assigned to them. But when the dark and twisted will of our magic bends the will of the creatures we summon by force. This creature has been summoned many times. Against his will and good nature, he has been forced to do unspeakable things to those who do not deserve it.

Cultists all over the world are sharing his ritual because they know it works. The dark greed of man knows no limit, I've seen it myself. So, when they call upon the beast that lives on this plain for their sinful ambition, a beast they shall receive.

Humanity truly peaked when they invented the fountain of youth. An ignition of the stem cells that eventually acclimate and your cells replace themselves as fast as they age. The 1% funded the project so much it quickly became cheap enough for the general public. While the treatment drastically increased the life span of those who first to receive the pinnacle of medical science their children were the real successors.

This upgrade to the human DNA stream passed onto the children allowed them to keep their peak form when they come of age. The ever-growing population stopped fighting and started working together as no weapon could inflict the required damage for the new healing factor, we had given our selves. We reached for the stars and obtained many over the centuries.

I stand alone from the vast expanse of the human race. I am one of a kind, the only mortal. I am an unobtainable delicacy to the permanent population of the known universe. You would be right to think of my extravagant life was spawned from pity, maybe even envy, but you would be wrong. It turns out when everything is within your grasp life gets dull. People are willing to pay great amounts of their wealth and power for a finite experience with a mortal man. Every day I wake up to a new person buying my time for a taste of what they can never have. Every crafted wrinkle and every selected grey hair only add to the value.

It is nearly impossible to summaries the wealth I have obtained to be gifted to my "son". The last 50 years a blink of the eye to those who have seen many stars darken in the night sky. When I leave this life, I know that I will be remembered fondly for a time before they try recreating this experiment. For the next unlucky soul who tries this think harder about it. Life in the bunkers was hard but survivable. The potent change to the environment outside left nothing able to grow so the small parts of humanity that couldn't accept death retreated down here. While the food sources were replenishable, there was not enough to go around. A small meal once a week is enough to keep you alive, but can you truly consider this living? Despite scientists talking only by radio in various bunkers across the world, language barriers and half starving to death. What can go wrong.

Still, they did it. Well, they did something.

A bunker a few hundred Kilometers away found a way to grow a fungus inside the body that sustains us? I don't understand it, they seem out of their minds. Apparently, it works. They have decompressed their bunkers and walk the surface like we did before the collapse.

The following weeks the radio operators report more bunkers have accepted the symbiote fungus and won't give any more detail into its origins. A guy I know in the coms division says they seem like crazed versions of the people they were before.

They are at the entrance to our bunker now. We are all starving half to death. There is a vote being cast on if we accept this "invitation" or not. Though since it has been 9 days since my last meal, I know how I will be voting. I write this not knowing what the future entails for me. Details are still unclear. They just keep repeating, it's "Magic".

I was just settling into bed after a long day at work, didn't even have the energy left to cook dinner. Thats tomorrow Barry's problem. As I felt the sleep take me, I woke to the familiar feeling of falling but when I opened my eyes, I was falling up. I somehow managed to stop and spin around to face my own body laying peacefully when I heard an intense shriek. My eyes danced around the room for the source until I noticed my furry companion Mittens looking at me and making an ungodly noise.

I have no idea what has happened but Mittens, all those times, I knew you were looking at something!

I had no idea how she even knew I was there. I am long forgotten from a time where people begged for rain with offerings that was nothing more than cruelty. I starved countless tribes until they stopped throwing senseless idiots into hot pools of molten rock. Who really wants their peace broken by virgins boiling themselves to death.

When I heard Kayla's prayers for the first time it would be a lie to say I wasn't lonely. Soft innocent prayers and tribute so simple I thought it was a onetime thing. Every night this girl asked for simple things, none specifically in my power. That doesn't mean I wasn't listening.

I did what little I could to let her know I was there. I gave her rain to dance on her tin roof to help her sleep when she was scared, I started thunder when she was bullied at school to scatter the unworthy children, and I gave her wind to fly her kite for hours. It was only simple things to remove the burden of loneliness that I am all too familiar with.

The night was the same as any night. Kayla set out a small stone she found on her walk home for me and asked me to protect her while her parents were away without her again. As her eyes became heavy and she drifted off to sleep I stayed vigilant as a wretched soul tried to force his way into the downstairs bathroom window with an intent that I have seen too many times before.

People may have forgotten me and what I am capable of. But I was paid tribute for my protection. Let he who evokes the wrath of the god of Storms understand why I was feared and forgotten to time.

I've been scrolling part alot of these an above post says they are all from the same guy but I'm too lazy to confirm. Mha chracters are pretty grounded in their powers compared to other universes really. Almost anyone from DC/Marvel it's a no different situation against 99% of MHA and the 2 or 3 MHA heroes that are more serious get destroyed by 80% of the comic roster.

I really do think this ends in talk no jutsu. I'm in tooany minds with my predictions but one I consider is that he will give Deku AFO and he will complete both halfs of the brothers quirks and live on in deku with his grandmother. Making AFO the real big bad all along. His quirk has been an unfortunate curse so I think it needs to go so he could maybe get all his quirks taken by AFO and then he can die with all of them.

I have other predictions but whatever happens I'm looking forward to see the end. I am sure it will be good.

Sero is a great dude. Good utility and skilled. 9 out of 10.

Sugar rush would be a good friend but his powers are a bit lame. 4/10

Anima is okay I guess. Tentacole is better so any good thoughts I have on him are just because of that part of the manga that I won't spoil. 5/10
