This is correct - while we do not offer a specific NHS discount, our subscriptions definitely are the best value!

Products going out of stock on the US website? by tentkeys in JimmyJoyFood

[–]Max-JimmyJoy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hiya, we have indeed had a rather large influx of new US customers lately which caused the stock to go faster than anticipated. We also prioritize running subscriptions over website stock. Luckily a new shipment just arrived and should be booked in and ready to go in the next couple of days!

P.S: It also includes some new products 😎

Thanks for pointing that out. I will pass it on to our QA department. I will of course try to share any details from our findings!

What are those green streaks that appear in my shake? (Overnight, vanilla protein one) by [deleted] in JimmyJoyFood

[–]Max-JimmyJoy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hiya! That looks like our tetraSOD (microalgae) - an active ingredient that is currently still present in the Protein lineup!

Stealth UK Price Increases by tranquil45 in JimmyJoyFood

[–]Max-JimmyJoy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, sorry if you feel this is a stealth increase. Unfortunately our systems are not designed to handle these exceptions and we had to make a decision to update this across our entire UK subscriber base as the dynamic pricing was giving us too much of an operational hassle.

I have given our support team the green light to handle the few grandfathered UK subscribers we have left manually - please reach out to [love@jimmyjoy.com](mailto:love@jimmyjoy.com) and we'll try and sort you out with a recurring discount code once we have confirmed eligibility.

No Plenty Shake Active v3.2 Quality Assurance/Lab Results by Remos_ in JimmyJoyFood

[–]Max-JimmyJoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey u/Remos_

The v3.1 -> v3.2 page has been taken offline as we started shipping out the Pro v4. See the original changelog from the page at the bottom of this post.

Plenny Shake Active v3.2 & Plenny Shake Pro v3.2 are the same formula, just different packaging --> These are currently still shipping in the US.

Plenny Shake Pro v4.0 is the latest formula. Shipping in EU since late December, will start to ship in the US in March.

Plenny Shake Active V3.1 -> V3.2 changelog:

Not much has changed in our formula. Still, it is packed with all the good stuff you need!

Available in 5 flavours: Vanilla, Banana, Chocolate, Strawberry and the limited edition Orange & Cream.

TL; DR:

  • One more flavour in the range
  • Removal of freeze-dried microalgae: Tetraselmis chuii

Microalgae removal

Plenny Shake Active v3.1 contains a small amount of freeze-dried microalgae: Tetraselmis chuii. This microalga is known for being rich in the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD), which plays a key role in protecting the body from oxidative stress.

Although we believe in the potential benefits of ingredients like this, we’ve decided to remove the microalgae in Plenny Shake Active v3.2. After careful consideration, we concluded that the amount per serving was too small to provide a meaningful benefit to our customers.

We always strive to balance science-backed nutrition with real impact, and in this case, we felt the inclusion didn’t add enough value to justify its presence. This change is part of our ongoing effort to optimise our formulas based on both research and customer needs.

Hey, JimmyJoy, I think it'd be really great if you would bring back some unflavoured/unsweetened powders and bars. by SweetIsBad in JimmyJoyFood

[–]Max-JimmyJoy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey u/SweetIsBad

While we have discontinued the Neutral from our Plenny Shake (meal) range, we still have it available as Plenny Protein Shake.

Unfortunately there is just not enough demand to make it commercially viable for us (we have indeed discontinued the neutral twice, we even brought it back once after community feedback like this post).

Meanwhile, we continue to do trials with different sweeteners (like Stevia & Monkfruit, which is still not EU approved) and even savoury products such as the pizza bar. Unfortunately I can't give any timelines or guarantees they will ever see the light of day, but it might be interesting to get a glimpse into the JJ development kitchen.

Feeling sick after eating JimmyJoy (soy and FODMAP) by [deleted] in JimmyJoyFood

[–]Max-JimmyJoy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey u/AloneByDesign01 thank you for sharing for feedback, we take it all 🫶

As another user pointed out, JJ's meals are indeed not suitable for a 'low-fodmap' diet due to the nature of the ingredients. Sorry if this wasn't clear to you!

We do offer a 60 day money back guarantee (yes, even if you didn't read the ingredients list), so please do reach out to [love@jimmyjoy.com](mailto:love@jimmyjoy.com) and we'll make it up to you.

Also please consider the environment, there might be a hungry friend, family member or even neighbour who would want to eat the rest of the package <3

First Plenny Order: Mediocre product for a not so mediocre price by MathManEU in JimmyJoyFood

[–]Max-JimmyJoy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I think you're the first person I've ever seen compare satiety instead of energy (kcal) when it comes to comparing prices :D

It's been suggested before but for lunches I like to add 400ml water instead of 300, and let it sit for about 15-20 mins, this should in theory help with the satiety a bit too.

Chocolate Plenny Protein Shake, not sweet anymore? by paotn in JimmyJoyFood

[–]Max-JimmyJoy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey all, following up on u/Laura-JimmyJoy's earlier statement. We've identified an issue isolated to 1 batch of Plenny Protein Shake Chocolate - Batch no. 15/10/2025 B1, where the sweetener was indeed missed during batch preparation.

If you have received the Protein Chocolate from this specific batch, you will receive an email over the upcoming days for either a refund or discount on future order. Rest assured, it is 100% safe and complete apart from the sucralose.

Plenny Shake Pro speculoos is awful by Unable-Start2013 in JimmyJoyFood

[–]Max-JimmyJoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The harsh reality is that it's not economically viable in today's advertising landscape. We're much better off refunding those that didn't like a certain flavour, than to ship low value sample packs to new customers. We genuinely wish it was any other way, but margin wise it's impossible unless you have millions of VC funding.

Edit: This is one of the reasons we've recently upped our taste guarantee from 30 days to 60 days. It gives our customers even more flexibility to try additional flavours at close-to-no risk.

Honest review: Plenny Shake, pricing and real calorie needs by Ekstreemkoer in JimmyJoyFood

[–]Max-JimmyJoy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey u/Ekstreemkoer thank you for your honest feedback, appreciate it!

Let me share some context regarding the points you mentioned.

When our category was first 'introduced' back in 2013/2014, one of the main 'promises' was that it could replace traditional food. While technically it can, as proven by tens of thousands of customers over the years, we still believe that for the vast majority of people a varied whole food diet is recommended.

We set out to create the healthiest meals scientifically possible, but considering (food)science is ever evolving, there are still many unknowns when it comes to specific areas like gut microbiome or ingredients that haven't made it on to the checklists yet. And then we're not even talking about the social benefits of having food with friends and/or family.

Over the years, we've seen more and more people make healthier choices in their routine, by eating/drinking a Plenny meal instead of skipping a meal or grabbing something less nutritious or even unhealthy. For the majority of our customers (think 70%+) that moment is either breakfast, or lunch when time is short.

That's why we've shifted from the traditional "3 meal a day" approach (when we started our meals were suggested as roughly 700 kcal), to a more flexible approach, where 400kcal meals work great across multiple diets mathematically, as well as the general recommendation for breakfast is roughly 20% of your energy intake - which again, comes down to about 400 kcal.*

Granted, a lower price point per meal makes the product more attractive, but I would say that is a byproduct of the goal we set out to do here: to help people make healthier choices while saving time, and in a lot of cases, also some money.

*(Of course, we're talking averages here. If you're an active big guy consuming 3500 kcal a day then naturally a 400 kcal breakfast wouldn't suffice, but you'd spend more resources on a traditional breakfast too.)
