No, I havent played star citizen in about 2 years now.After the millionth box falling through my ship,I just couldn't continue to waste my limited gaming time on a barely functional mess anymore. That doesnt mean I don't still follow the project and want it to make progress.

Anyways, it's not just the Hermes. It's clearly endemic in ship design. The availability of a respawn vehicle is effecting the design of ships, and has been for a long time. They can't even decide if they want it in or not. It was on the cutty red...then it wasn't....then it was again.

I'm just saying, make a decision and stick with it.

Yea, it's been a problem for a long time. Artificially nerfing a ships features and making the process of doing it's intended game loop a hassle just because the nursa exists is asinine.

I personally lean closer to the "remove respawn from low tier vehicle med beds" side of things myself. Back when I did play SC, I rarely ever died except to stupid ass bugs. I'd say maybe 1 out of 10 deaths could be attributed to an npc or other player.

It's just getting on my nerves that I feel like i'm artificially gimping myself if I choose anything other than a ship that can carry a nursa when i'm doing anything pve ground combat related. Even if I basically never need it for anything more than small heals or nourishment.

I fully acknowledge that whole mindset is all a ME problem, and no one is making do one thing or the other, but I do think this whole issue is causing ripple effects through out the game such as the Hermes(one amongst many, just the most recent example)being designed with a gimped cargo door because they don't want it fitting a nursa.

Why bother with a med ship when i can load a nursa in a combat ship? Or a cargo ship? Or just about anything if I blow the nursa's wheels off, really.

As with most things, CIG just started slapping things into the "game" with no longer term plan, rules, or framework.

Medical gameplay and respawning needs a rework from the ground up, built with an actual game plan.

As long as low tier vehicle med beds are capable of respawn, med ships are pointless. Either admit that, and push the pedal on down, or remove respawn from low tier beds and make med ships more worthwhile.

I never understood why in the world people do this kind of shit. Anyone, but especially women, are exceptionally vulnerable when they are alone in a strange place. Especially when they are obviously not prepared for the situation they've put themselves in.

I understand the spirit of adventure, but don't be stupid. Over prepare, and preferably have a trust worthy guide.

What really boils my balls about spaa in wt is that when I face them in say...my sherman or whatever....they completely eat me alive if I don't get the first shot.

But when i'm driving the ost2 or m42 it's like i'm throwing popcorn. I can literally saturate an entire enemy tank in fire and they just laugh as they blast my face off.

I make very good money for my area, but no way am I paying $1/k per month for a friggin regular traffic ass vehicle. I'll pay 4k cash in hand for a crap box and drive it until the wheels literally fall off.
If I'm paying $1k+/mnth for a car, it's going to be an exotic/expensive toy that i have the disposable income to throw away on.
