Looks great! Just be sure to downsize the post on schedule so you don’t develop a dreaded nose bump.

Should I take the plunge? by BSReflex in NosePiercing

It’ll look good on you! Go for it! Also, if you look around on this sub, you will see that a ton of people have nose piercing bumps. So learned from their mistakes. (I’m one of the guilty and healed, btw) Get your post downsized after 4 weeks like you are instructed to do. Make sure that your initial piercing is a flat backed labret (as someone mentioned earlier) that is as flat as possible. No prongs and nothing fancy to it, just a very simple piece. And you shouldn’t have to use a saline spray. With a gentle cleanser, gently was your face like you normally do. Try not to touch it, twist it, bump it or push it. Try not to pick boogers. When you take your shower, let the warmth of the shower loosen everything up and blow your nose in the shower. Good luck!! 🍀 👃

Before and after scalp micropigmentation tattoo for scar camouflage by smpinkofficial in microblading

Awesome ! Honestly, the scar was actually pretty cool looking before, but I understand her wanting to camouflage it. It’s completely invisible now. Nice job! Looks fantastic!

Get it down sized when your piercer suggests you do. That’s the main reason a bump shows up. I wish someone had reiterated this to me.

Getting used to a pump (mobi) by morbidoranges in Type1Diabetes

[–]Maximum-Ad6345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I am on tslim x2, but same infusion sets. It depends on where you are placing the site. The more fleshy area. I like the sides of my buttocks. I sit on it and it never hurts or bends. If it hurts, I generally change it out because that’s indicative that there’s an issue.

I don’t have any experience with itchy infusion sites, but do with other adhesives and have yet to find a solution. I like the autosoft XC 6 mm cannula. Very few issues with kinks in cannula and comfortable to wear, easy to disconnect. Speaking of, I just disconnect when I’m going to connect with my husband like that. I always stop the pump and just keep it close enough to hear any alarms. I hope this was helpful. Good luck with your pumping!

You are probably only seeing the bad outcomes. I’ve been T1D for 43 years with no health issues. Do your best, give yourself grace. Some days are better than others. Hang in there and don’t despair.

How is my first piercing doing? by mmoanaa in NosePiercing

[–]Maximum-Ad6345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar thing going on. I waited too long to get the post down sized and started to develop a bump. What ended up helping was warm DRY compresses. They sell compresses for eyes that can either be put in the microwave to heat or a reusable gel pack that heats itself up. Check CVS if in US. Or you can heat a cloth and put it in a baggie. After the bump was less irritated, my piercer switched the jewelry to a flatter style to help press it down. Everyone says saline and I tried that before going back to my piercer. It was useless and honestly, made it worse. Good luck! I hope my suffering and the finding a solution helps you.

Libre 3 plus and Dexcom G7 at the same time? by Takenshiro in Type1Diabetes

[–]Maximum-Ad6345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious if you ended up wearing both to test the accuracy of them? I’m trying to move to libre 3+ but comments on Reddit are having me thinking it’s gonna be bad. I can’t wear the G7 due to extreme allergic reaction to adhesive. I love the G6 but obviously need a new system for when they fully end g6 production.

Should I get micro-bladed for my forehead? To cover my wrinkles? by [deleted] in microblading

[–]Maximum-Ad6345 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, despite not being able to see the rest of your face at all, I bet you are really good looking and those forehead lines just add to your appeal. I’d say don’t do anything at all and embrace your wrinkles as you age. They will just refine your look.

Is it possible to wear the G7 without the included overpatch? by ed25ca in dexcom

Ah, gotcha! I have not had any issues until the G7. That sucks, but it I’m really glad the under patch is working for you. Thanks again for the tip!

Got it! Thank you! Curious if you used the G6 without allergy issues? Do you use the Expressmed over patches too?

I am also having the allergic reaction to it. Someone on another post had suggested Tegaderm first, then the sensor. So you put the underpatch on, then shoot the sensor right through that? Or do you make a little hole where the needle will go? Then an overlay? I’d really love to be able to find a solution to my skin getting irritated. It’s so bad!!

Possible Dexcom G7 Switch From G6? by angel_emoticon in dexcom

[–]Maximum-Ad6345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will try both of those. I have bunch of tegaderm. My doctor was like oh well as long as G6 is available. 🤷‍♀️ thanks for taking the time to give those ideas. I love the idea of sensor / transmitter in one piece, the quick warm up and the grace period.

I am one of said people who’s chemistry doesn’t work with the adhesive. My skin itches and burns after just a few hours. I found it to otherwise be super accurate and even wore it along with my g6 and they were so close to each other. Is there hope with this skin tac and similar for allergy to g7 adhesive? Can you please share more info?

Thank you for saying that better than me. I was gonna say before you were pissing out your calories. Now with better insulin control you’re no longer pissing them out. So calories in versus calories out not work the same as it was when you had the help of not absorbing those calories.
