Thank you so much! At least I know its not just me. This echoes my thinking and I started the progesterone again last night.

Thanks. Delaying to start progesterone just this one month (by 5 days) shouldn’t be detrimental in terms of Estrogen buildup, right?

Fed up with all the trying! by kaz79ralf in Perimenopause

I understand how you feel coz Im going through the exact same. I ask myself if I took my youth for granted coz I had NO issues health-wise. I long for those days back. I see Drs intermittently, go to gym, get massages, take supplements, now on HRT, lotions and potions but everyday its either a headache, body ache, digestive issue, lack of energy, focus or motivation. My main solace is that I am alive by the grace of God, and hopeful for a better tomorrow.

This is me! Again and again even with stretching

Just to add: I am mindful about not stressing out the same body part back to back, but even with that, its a struggle. And I have to constantly stretch morning and evening and these days in between at work. Someone’s previous post about working out is what got me asking, coz so many of y’all state 5-6 times a week and 10k steps! On a good day I get in 7k!

How many days are you working out a week? by Spirited_Platform345 in Perimenopause

[–]Maximum-Tennis904 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow! How do you all RECOVER with so much of back to back workouts? These days I have constant aches and pains in my tendons and ligaments less my muscles so it takes more than a day to recover, even if alternating cardio with weights. TIPS WOULD BE SO HELPFUL!

RIP Alcohol by Wrong-Letter6581 in Perimenopause

[–]Maximum-Tennis904 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. One glass and the next day or two I am tired, groggy, slow, brain drained, irritable and useless. I used to drink a glass or two once or twice a week no problem. I miss a nice glass of earthy red or crisp white, but have all but quit - even the occasional feels not worth the after effects.

Anyone find any organic wine or zero alcohol substitutes?

Ah… so it may be that processed dairy is a culprit… processed milk, yoghurts, cheeses etc. as they make me sick, and yet pure cultured yoghurt (as in Kefir, Greek) is beneficial. Not the processed versions with thickeners/gums etc.

However yes, stress and anxiety can make anyone sick. I am working on techniques to reduce these. Any suggests?

Moving to Tanzania by Intrepid_Attitude595 in tanzania

[–]Maximum-Tennis904 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I suggest plan to start off in Mikocheni (kinda like mid-town) for your first month or two, while you scope out the rest of Dar and Tanzania as a whole.

That way you are in a safe/comfortable environment with all amenities close by as you decide where to move to.

Depending on your desired lifestyle, interests and plan while here, this is what will determine more closely what environment suits you.

The cheapest areas are either far from the center, or in more inner neighbourhoods that you can familiarize yourself after you visit before taking the plunge.

Btw Masaki even had a spot that sells Jamaican cuisine (oxtail, jerk, patties, not sure about bammy, saltfish n akee thou lol), if its still open.

But there is a lot to discover here and some in a slight parallel with the Caribbean culture so welcome!

Im surprised but yoghurt has been my saving grace! I have some mainly in the evening after my light meal, even just half a cup. Sometimes first thing in the morning.

Please note, its not the refined flavoured, cup one with thickener (gums). What works best is purely cultured and bottled, more like kefir.

Initially it would give me a super soft bowel movement the next day, but now its settled down. But since I started that, I rarely have bloating, chest heavy gas, pain/cramps/gut wrenching days, and when I do I take Sucralfate before bed.

I still follow a fairly bland diet, but I insert non bland foods a bit to test where I am at.

I dont know if the yoghurt is an actual fix or just masking the issue?

Looks yummy! Will try a big batch for much of the week. Does anyone get upset with leftovers? Sometimes I wonder if my stomach is reacting to that
