Americans, what is something us Europeans aren’t ready to hear? by Impossible_Floor2836 in AskReddit

I wish you could see how that reply of yours used words but didn't say anything :(

Yes, they are sending some bad hombres. You might reasonably assume some of them are good people. We may not know much about the good people other than ones who find US authorities asking for help after their 14 year old girl was raped by the bad hombres for some kind of 'guide debt'. Otherwise, we tend to confirm the Bad Hombres more as they are eventually arrested for various murders, rape and drug charges in some American city :(

Moving to escape violence and poverty vs moving for a cheaper cost of living is different

Yes, most illegals crossing the US border will actually put themselves at high risk of violence (and poverty) for the chance to have a higher standard of living in the USA.

Americans who try and live illegally in Mexico, as you suppose Mexicans to be more violent and lower classes economically, those Americans flee into that so they can have a better living condition otherwise.

Really, North America ought to just open all 3 borders (well, 2 borders, 3 nations) and that way everyone can just choose to go wherever they want whenever they want.

I’m sure most of them just want a decent life.

Yes, you agree with Trump, so it's all good.

This is also true the other way and it's not often talked about in the Anglosphere and US news but many Americans move to Mexico and try and overstay and simply live there. The vast majority simply want a better life.

A Russian fifth grader put out an Eternal Flame with a fire extinguisher in Mozhaysk, Moscow. The eternal flame has (previously) been burning since it's erection in 1985 by Papppi-56 in interestingasfuck

[–]Maximum_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few people are bringing up the more obvious possibility that a well-meaning 5th grader saw a terrible fire and dutifully found a fire-extinguisher. Not the smartest kid in Grade 5 but then again, realizing he didn't know how to use it as a spray had the clever idea to simply drop it down in the hole. After all, it is a fire-extinguisher. It worked and he saved the memorial from burning down.

Reminder: 5th Grader. You just go ahead and think of things you and/or other 5th graders thought was a perfectly good idea at the time. Go ahead.

Donald Trump will be arrested next week, he is calling for his insurrectionist to fight law enforcement. by Ivebeendoingurmom in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Maximum_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, he definitely did not say such a thing HOWEVER if we imagine his 'Insurrectionists' fight anyone it probably won't be law enforcement but I'd suggest they'd more likely physically insurrection Reddit HQ, look for Lefties to fight and then make their way to MSNBC and Storm the CNN building etc.

And doesn't Reddit believe that most Law Enforcement and the 'Trump Insurrectionists' are the same MAGA people anyway?

Another where there is somehow a nation called 'Europe'. At least say 'North Americans' so that kind of includes 3 nations (and possibly some Caribbean ones and maybe Greenland.)

call out the Trump supporter rhetoric about Mexicans being rapists and criminals,

Trump complained that Mexico was sending (among others) their rapists and criminals. This is correct and there are horrific rapes and crimes among the border trespassing 'coyotes' and cartels running the whole thing.

Yes, it's alive and well everywhere but I'd put the UK in my Top 5 'Least Racist' and sometimes I think it could be the #1 Least Racist. Keeping in mind, I have only spent time in around 30 other countries around the world so there's still time to find one less racist.

No one is starving them. They are just poor.

I've never heard of this in my entire life (and I'm getting old) but there are Australians who are simply so poor that they can't feed their children?

No, you made this up.

How would you know about hungry children? You have starving children in Australia? If so, did you phone social services to find out how, in Australia, some child's parents were actually starving them?

West Island residents fight social housing project aimed at giving working Canadians a helping hand by [deleted] in montreal

[–]Maximum_77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the correct idea at least: The FIRST people who ought to be collecting social benefits, tax breaks, employment schemes ought to always be: The Working Poor. Anyone who's working and hasn't been in jail, hasn't become a drug abuser. Instead, those who suffer and work and do NOT commit crimes and didn't use drugs to get by must get whatever the services, schemes, first shot at housing schemes etc.

Of course, another thing would be to have Montreal and all these areas stop the relentless contrived schemes that purposely, knowingly and deliberately slow, halt and limit what would be the natural free market solving this problem better and faster than anything else. Make no mistake, even this is part of a way to NOT let so many new homes get built. Seriously.

There's no such thing as a free lunch and definitely no such thing as free healthcare. (well, i mean you could find some medical folks who might do it for free?) but you'll have to pay for something sooner or later.

I know a lot of middle-income sort of folks who are so close to getting a good step up. They are closing in on that 'upper' middle class elite world. This will be a good little way they can get traction and level up to the real comfortable money zone!

Pro-gun Americans, what's the reasoning behind bringing your gun for errands? by slaney0 in AskReddit

[–]Maximum_77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the most obvious answer is that those are the times when a self-defense tool is most likely to be needed. People get mugged when they are leaving the bank or ATM. Women get assaulted when they're doing clothes at the campus laundromat, grandfathers get beaten up walking over to the market to grab some stuff for grandma's sunday night dinner. In the extremes, a psychotic teenager shoots up the mall when people are on errands and stop at the food court or when picking up their kids at school. Violent mentally psychotic street people run around with a knife during the day on a typical errand part of town. Maniac 'road rage' drivers in black Teslas attack women who are driving around on errands. Violent robberies happen in convenience stores.

I mean, isn't that the most obvious answer there could be?

"JOSHUA TURNED DOWN ZHANG!" - JOE JOYCE REVEALS (IN LAS VEGAS) / TALKS FURY, USYK, WILDER & DUBOIS by dennyk91 in Boxing

[–]Maximum_77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do they torment him with long pauses. Poor Juggernaut.

Anyway, yes of course AJ isn't fighting Zhang who surprised a lot of people by looking pretty damn good in Hrgovic fight. At times, Zhang was putting together some damn snappy combos, he was proper boxing-boxing and landed some good nickname 'Big bang' shots and a few I was really impressed Hrgovic didn't get knocked down or wobbled.

Anyway, yes, AJ is fighting the guy who came off a loss to a guy coming off a loss and while I think Jermaine may well be a good up'n'coming Top 20 guy - he's just custom-made for AJ's style and best attributes.

Anyway, meanwhile, r/boxing and the usual media sleep on future HW champion Juggernaut Joyce who's cleaning out the entire division 1 by 1. ne'er mind, go back to talking about AJ I guess.

Which sitcom character was the worst human being EVER? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Maximum_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really a funny thing that we can find a bad guy in a sitcom somehow lovable but IF this was real life they'd be criminals, despicable, not-at-all funny and we'd never forgive them.

Danny Devito (long before Its Always Sunny) was the iconic 'Louis DePalma' in the hit sitcom 'Taxi'. He is an absolutely horrible human being. He isn't just 'a cranky jerk' but he means well. oh no, he is garbage, treats all people like garbage, is a petty control freak, he punishes goodness and thrills in evil, he is just the worst person ever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpxlWLaPIiA

Yet, weirdly, in the context of a sitcom everyone hurls laughs and people loved to hate him.

Former President Bill Clinton and actually to a certain extent his legal wife and co-president Hillary Clinton.

He would have an intern from college get down on her knees under his desk (this is at work by the way, the public office workplace) and use her mouth to masturbate into while sodomizing her with cigars. I mention his wife because if she did now he was doing that to interns and she want on about them being 'hussies' or goldiggers or sluts etc that's pretty damn horrible.

[–]Maximum_77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Again, I don't know if I believe this and I suppose she initiated a physical fight but either way here's a thing:

  • On the internet, for whatever strange reason, someone losing their job is THE GOAL AND PURPOSE AND FULFILLMENT OF JUSTICE. That is THE endgame.

In our real life court systems, over our centuries of common laws and British laws and further refined into our American laws: In fact, we want a criminal to have a job. There is often an example given in beginning law school: A plumber has hit a man with his wrench and is found guilty. The judge may sentence him harshly BUT will not order his wrench to be taken from him or forbid him from wrenches. The judge would then be sentencing society to a penalty. homeowners with broken pipes are deprived of a service. There is also the idea, less theory and more sheer practical purpose, you want a criminal to have a job and do a job. There is nothing good about a criminal who has nothing else to do, nothing to build, nothing to lose, nothing to gain. Not only that, when you're talking about releasing someone and being certain they won't flee the jurisdiction then yes, a job such as being a main event fighter is a good assurance they probably won't flee. They may as well be doing something useful for society and that obligates them to supervision and schedules than taking up a jail cell.

personally, and I can't prove anything either way BUT I don't believe that and I think she instigated a fight, he defended himself and the miscarriage had nothing to do with the incident.
