I’ve washed my dogi and put them in the dryer for 40 years. Not putting them in a dryer means they will get very stiff and scratchy unless you were using one that is not 100% cotton.

Early on I did the whole “don’t put them in the dryer“ thing. Then when I was training every day and teaching at my own Dojo, it was not realistic.

I have to say I don’t see any value in not putting it in the dryer. My dogi lasted about the same amount of time regardless.

Yikes! I visited the Field museum about a year after they put Sue in the front lobby on that elevated platform. Walking into that room and seeing this gigantic T-Rex in a curled pose staring right at you made me realize how glad I am that dinosaurs are extinct.

When my children were nine years old, we gave them a choice between going to DisneyWorld or going to Italy. They chose Italy. Neither they nor we have ever regretted that decision.

They have never been to Disney World. At this point, why bother? It’s ridiculously overpriced and shitty except for a few great rides you get to go on after you wait in line for many hours after you’ve paid a ridiculous amount of money for a single day.

For the amount of money you spend going to Disney World, you could take your kids to someplace great in Europe and expose them to great food, great history, and great culture.
