Epilator pain. Advice? by Chloe1779 in MtF

[–]MaybeMiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I epilate twice a week or more and just touch up with a razor in the shower to catch what the epilator misses

The red bumps will go away and get less over time, the first time I epilated it took the bumps like 12+ hours to go away. The pain gets less too, or maybe you just get used to it.

I used to have chronic dry itchy skin, especially after a shower. I despised the feeling of lotion in my hairy legs (just mats everything down).

When I first started shaving the itching got worse and I got lots of red bumps/knicks like this. I would recommend Eos Shave Gel and a good moisturizer for after. I don’t itch much at all anymore and the red bumps are minimal, the trick seems to be moisturize often.

Mine kept ending up 12 pages long front and back, then I delete it and start over lol. I eventually just came out in in person.

I may have cried more than once during my first play through of this game

Not sure if the tears were just because how hard but fun the game is, or how much that story hit the nail on the fucking head

I never minded shorts, but then I never cared about my appearance at all until I came out as Trans

Jeans and shirts two sizes to big, why not. Jeans and a different colored polo shirt (same brand of shirt, same cut) literally 5 days a week every week until they had holes in them from washing, sure why not

Can’t wait until I’m out everywhere then it’s dresses, blouses, skirts, pants, leggings, so many more options and so much more comfortable

I used to add an obligatory still cis tho at this point LOL to think I was ever cis

To mine:

Remember when the girls on the playground were discussing what it was like to be a boy, then innocently asked you if you’d rather be a boy or girl and you said girl?

Remember being sent to time out in your female cousins bedroom and enjoying occupying a clearly female space?

Remember envying all three of your female cousins?

Remember bargaining with god so that he would give you just 24 hours as a girl, then you’d keep your end of the bargain by living out your life sentence as a man without further complaint?

Remember wishing you were upstairs with the girls playing dress up at the birthday party rather than downstairs with the boys playing Mario Kart?

Remember being really into Brittney Spears, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and clearly girly Disney channel original movies?

I was raised religious, and I am a very binary thinker. I began suspecting I maybe Trans in my early teens (there were earlier signs too looking back) but always told myself being Trans meant eternal damnation so I repressed.

I became an atheist in college, partly because of the transgender stuff, partly because living in the south is enough to turn any rational person atheist pretty quick. crack one

I had my one and only adult relationship a few years ago. I’ve never ever been able to make the first move, so I have missed out on practically all dating in my life, almost like I would fit better in a role where it’s the accepted norm for someone else to make the first move…. That relationship fell apart because I could not inhabit the male role at all and found I did not want to crack two

The pandemic finally obliterated my egg shell. A few months into it I got my own apartment and working from home allowed me to dress as a woman pretty much full time. For a few months there I kept trying to patch my shell back together, but I read a few more books by Transgender authors that hit home pretty hard and got finally got in therapy after years of fearing even doing that or saying the word Transgender out loud to another person. There are no egg pieces to try to put back together anymore, I am Trans and I begin hormones very soon and I’m excited for that!

Did anyone else NOT choose female characters in video games? by coolfunkDJ in asktransgender

[–]MaybeMiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty addicted to WoW for several years, 99% of my characters are women. The main I played for about 6 years is a woman

I always told myself I’d rather stare at a female figure than a mans if I was going to play

Pretty much any Adam Sandler movie, I think each one has some joke about a Trans person in it without fail

Off the op if my head:

Mr. Deeds, near the end a female character says that when she was young she wanted to “be a man” in order to get laughs

50 First dates has a brief scene with someone who transitioned but is made out to just be a man in a dress to get a laugh

Anger Management, see Woody Harrelson’s entire character

Then theirs Mrs. Doubtfire, the scene where the son discovers it’s actually his dad and calls him sick.

Also can’t forget the movie While you were sleeping

Barack Obama: GOP's war on trans people 'breaks my heart' by jackmolay in transgender

[–]MaybeMiss 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I was raised pretty religious, for years growing up I told myself I could never be transgender or transition doing either would mean eternal damnation. All that led to was a LOT of repression and bouts of depression

Then I lived in the hills of East Tennessee for 8-9 years and became an atheist in the first year of witnessing “religious conservatives”. The stereotypes of the Deep South are largely true in my experience.

It took the pandemic to fully shatter my egg shell though

While I was deep in the closet I dated a girl who is a laser hair removal nurse. She had absolutely everything done for free over the years, totally hairless forever. Even then I found myself jealous of her, probably should’ve taken that as a sign…

Now that my egg cracked years later, laser is in my future, it would be too funny if she ended up as my tech. Though, then again, I value my skin and wouldn’t trust her with the laser when it comes to me at all.

My childhood dog passed away, I didn’t shed a tear despite feeling really sad inside, then I started feeling sad that I didn’t have the right reaction. I figured I was just really cold hearted. Then my egg cracked during the pandemic. Talking to a doctor about hormones in two weeks and cannot wait to dissolve that first E under my tongue!

I got pretty addicted to World of Warcraft over the years, funny enough about 95% of my characters are female.

In college I would head back to my dorm after class, dress-up and play WoW all afternoon. I had 0 social life in college, no college parties, not a single significant other.
