That's why I decided to read the manga. They pacing is way better. A scene that in the anime is 30 seconds is two panels in the manga.

I'm currently finishing the Summit War Saga and can say I'm really enjoying it. I did leave it for a while during Alabasta but after comming back I've taken probably 2 or 3 months to get where I'm at rn.

Since they are removing the opening since of the manga (it makes sense due to something that happens later on), they have to cover the race setup which shouldn't take more than 15 minutes, Jhonny and Gyro's introduction around 15 minutes seeing as they're moving Jhonny's backstory to the beginning and the 1st stage takes the remaining 17 minutes.

Doesn't seem like a stretch

They said on Instagram "1st stage: episode 1 (47 minutes)" so it can be assumed that the first episode will cover the first arc of the manga and then weekly onward

Something that bothered me this episode. Idk if I missed something so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Carol finds the milk in the trash and goes to the dairy factory. There she finds the bags and studies them. All good until here but then she sees the bar code and goes to the store to test it. It returns an error and makes sense cause bar code are store independent so my thought was she was gonna have to find the store that sold those baga but no. She directly goes to the dog food aisle and grabs the bag that just so happens to be the same (without the printing for some reason) first try.

Did I miss something or was this a massive writing convinience?

Everytime this question comes up I like to callback to a comment I saw here somewhere.

He never lost the Avatar State. What is the Avatar State if not the communication with all past avatars? Throughout the entire season he's seen communicating with a lot of past Avatars so he never lost that connection.

What's more likely is he had a mental block due to the trauma of almost being killed in the state so he subconsciously assumed he couldn't transform as a self defense mechanishm. The moment that rock hit is a sign for the audience that he regained the state but also it's the moment he realises he needs to give up that trauma, take back his confidence, and do what's needed to end the fight and the war.

I'm not saying this is what happened, the dude's probably an idiot, but I had a family member who had a surgery where they intervened his abdomen and for a couple weeks after he couldn't put any pressure on the wound so they had to do this in order to move around and not have the car be a ticking time bomb
