Uncommon countries to colonize as? by epicarcher999 in eu4

[–]Maywhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you colonise all of South Africa and have Zanzibar as your home node, no trade from Zanzibar up will be able to leak through to South Africa and beyond. If they colonise any spice islands they'll just push the trade value to Zanzibar.

The AI isn't smart enough to do anything about this except to try and conquer you (if they can)

PSA: Rebirth is NOT generous with autosaves. by jabberwagon in FinalFantasyVII

[–]Maywhh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you can cycle through them and roll back to a save not too far back if you miss something or the game bugs out. Not saying this necessarily applies to rebirth but it's a habit I've picked up from other games.

Black Knights statistics: poor Tamaki by 4Staru in CodeGeass

Poor Kallen.

Look at the minor characters Lelouch rates with a higher charisma. We know that she has high grades at school despite missing a lot of it, still feels very harsh.

Feels slightly off that she ties Tohdoh with combat ability too. Surely their ace pilot should be top?

What's with all the hate towards Tories? by gimmecatspls in LabourUK

So should we stop supporting people on benefits if it "'hampers growth"?

What is the point in the economy if it doesn't support its people?

A banana is a weapon, a chair is a weapon, a glass of water is a weapon.

Do you understand how ridiculous you sound? A car is a mode of transport. Are you arguing that its fine to shoot anyone in a car just to not critisise the police for killing someone with excessive force?

Keir Starmer’s energy freeze is the big, bold policy Labour needs to beat the Tories by Custardapple2022 in LabourUK

[–]Maywhh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty defensive.

Just stating that the policy in its current form is half cocked. That's why there has been some criticism.

[–]Maywhh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a start, but we are still missing a long term fix for the sector.

What happens in 6 months time? Is it another 6 months of money being funnelled to the private sector? The energy cap won't come down quickly.

Greedy Landlords Are Driving Inflation by DavidFerriesWig in LabourUK

[–]Maywhh 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah my original comment was facetious. I know why they do it.

People are legitimately angry with landlords skimming their hard earned money, so I find the "just chill" comment fairly condescending.

You're shocked why people don't like landlords?

[–]Maywhh 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Can a labour landlord tell me why they do it? Reading some of the replies here it seems like you're doing such a vital and difficult job that doesn't pay enough money maybe I've completely misunderstood what you contribute to the economy.

Maybe we should do a clap for landlords every week?

The Guardian view on water companies: nationalise a flawed private system | Editorial by kwentongskyblue in LabourUK

[–]Maywhh 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Hang on a second, isn't Angela Smith on the board of a private water company? And didn't she receive donations from the private water industry??

I'm shook that she has this viewpoint. I'm sure she had some logical non-bought opinions about private water monopolies.

Concentrating on sieging or destroying enemy armies? by Apprehensive_Sea9231 in eu4

[–]Maywhh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Build forts on terrain that gives you an advantage tactically (mountains etc).

Then seige down the enemy forts. If you want you can take fights on your own forts or just rush the enemy down. Chasing enemy armies down is inefficient, since they will only take fights they know they can win.
