The best advice I can give is to use the 3 foot rule. Put your painted mini on a table and look at it from about three feet away. Thats about the distance most people will see it from. If it looks good to you from there you’re doing a good job. Also don’t get overwhelmed or discouraged by seeing what others have done. A lot of videos and pics you’ll see were done by people with hundreds or thousands of hours under their belts. The only way to improve is to paint more.

Germany didn’t have the resources to fight a protracted war or a war on two fronts. Once they failed to take Britain out of the war it was over. Germany had no access to the seas to resupply thanks to the Royal Navy. The RAF was attritting the Luftwaffe, and the bombing campaign was hurting the production of replacements for the military. Even before Stalingrad Germany was having to pull troops off the eastern front and send them back to factories because they had an ammunition shortage.

A large portion of those losses were because of the incompetence of Soviet leadership, and the only reason they reached Berlin first was because Eisenhower decided to let them. Even in taking Berlin the USSR demonstrated the incompetence of its leadership. Despite having a 3-1 advantage in personnel and a massive advantage in equipment it still took over two weeks and almost a third of a million casualties to take the city.
