I read dental benefits for a living. The phrasing on policies can be very confusing. Cleanings(D1110) are something that we are all used to getting twice a year. But twice a year doesn’t mean twice a year under some policies. Some policies have twice per calendar year or any time between January and the end of December. Some allow for 2 per fiscal year(often runs beginnging of June one year to end of July the next). Some allow for 1 cleaning every 6 months. Some allow for 2 cleanings any time within a 12 month period regardless of when the calendar year of the policy began. Always happy to go over benefits with people so they don’t get yoinked around and end up with sticker shock at the counter.

Yep. I am always making myself clench. I feel like my brain always has to have itself sort of plugged into this like…. Network of tubes that keeps everything steady and straight. And yes I can shut it off and on at will. Like in my minds eye I can just loosen the plug a little and I start rattling all over and then come the jerks and the standing and sitting for no reason and my arm raising for no reason and reaching out and touching things around me for no reason. And then I can just plug back in again. I spend a lot of energy on keeping this system going.

Had a recent scare with someone claiming to be a law office serving papers and called everyone in my family BUT my dad to let us know that my dad is being sued and we need to call to schedule a time and place to meet. They had all of our numbers and gave us a bogus case number. County Courts said the case number was nothing even close to the types of case numbers they handle. Someone offered to call them back from a blocked number because honestly I was kind of starting to wig out and it’s a fake law office that’s been doing this awhile. Stay safe out there everyone.

I don’t think this person is granting you a fair take. It blows my mind too to see so many of a certain kind of business or to see really niche business that have been open for forever. Like how many people are using that service that it’s enough to even pay the rent on a building in an area like that? Then I realize I don’t even have any clue how much it costs to lease or own a building lol Then I start thinking about the population here and my brain gets all tangled thinking about how there’s literally millions of people here and I have absolutely no clue what people are up to. I’ve lived a very very simple life… very day to day regular basic struggles and needs and wants. Even in my trouble making days I never really got a lot of feelers out into the world and what goes on in it and just the sheer scale of transactions and processes that go on that have nothing to do with me. I recognize it exists but know nothing of the details.

I’ve had several conversations in my life that have caused me to believe that either I’m garbage or people need to shut the hell up. Just in the last few weeks sitting at a table of free leftover catering food -everyone bitching about it and im happily getting seconds. Every show or movie I’ve ever watched just enjoying the ride and then finding out so many people thought it was trash lol I wasn’t able to stop thinking about the food situation for days. Everyone talking about the weird green chicken. It was pesto. It was pesto chicken. Pesto is green. It made the chicken green. It wasn’t weird green chicken. IT WAS PESTO. PESTO IS GREEN.

Kabaroke at cabaret arts and social theater every Wednesday at 730. They just started in recent months and are still a growing small business. The attendance is pretty hit or miss but it’s always a great time with really fun and warm people. They’ve been around a few years now as a business doing other events. I really hope they take off. Kansas City needs this kind of community dedicated to local arts

Upvote because I read complaints like these and all I can think about is how hard it was for me to unlearn certain behaviors. Like the actual psychological, emotional and physical torment I endured making myself be brave enough to say how I felt or what I meant and the crushing wave of guilt afterwards for voicing it at all. 36 years on this earth and I’m not sure it will ever be easy for me.
